Oregon 'terrorists' don't plan siege very well, put out plea for snacks and supplies

riots fueled by public outrage over police brutality and group of armed men taking over a federal building..don't really seem like the same thing to me. i don't see the point in comparing them.

I'm not comparing them. I'm comparing the gov't reaction to them. It seems to me that govco could have (and probably should have imo) used much more force in both Baltimore and Ferguson than they did. The situations in both those cities certainly warranted it much more than the yahoos in Oregon, yet all 3 were handled with minimal force and loss of life.

all i'm saying is that if this had been a relatively small group of black activists -opposed to a small group of white patriots- taking armed control of federal property, govco would have reacted differently. my opinion.

I'm not sure that anyone outside of Burns, Oregon really cares. This wasn't that big of a story anywhere else.

I think when you take over property of the Federal Government and then make terrorist threats about shooting anyone who tries to take it back, this is not an unexpected potential outcome. I am happier, personally, about the morons that got arrested for doing the same thing, but some people just don't know when to give up and it appears that the recently deceased Domestic Terrorist was one such person. Giddy is not the proper reaction, but neither is surprised.
