NVC Received Case: 11/12/15


NVC Scan Date: 12/2/15

Interview Result: Approved!!!

Question - How long does it take for a case number to be assigned? My NOA2 date is December 23rd, 2015.

Jul 20 2015: Lawyer Mailed I-130 Packet to Chicago lockbox

Aug 7 2015: I-130 NOA1 (California!!!)

Nov 17 2015: I-130 approved (102 days since NOA1)

***NVC***

Nov 25 2015: NVC received our file

Dec 11 2015: NVC case # assigned

Dec 14 2015: AOS & IV billed (same time as we have lawyer)

Dec 14 2015: Received email with case number and invoice number

Dec 15 2015: Paid AOS & IV Fees

Dec 20 2015: Fees show as "paid".

Dec 20 2015: Email expedite request (financial & medical)

Dec 31 2015: Email from NVC. EXPEDITE APPROVED!

Jan 8 2016: Mailed AOS & IV packets

Jan 11 2016: Packets delivered to NVC & marked "in transit" to consulate!

Jan 12 2016: CEAC status "READY"!

I called NVC the person I spoke with told me my case will not be delay that everything is good even though I had to make a change to the Choice of Agent- DS-261 after I received my case number today. He said I will get my invoice in 3-10 days for the IV fee. I feel better knowing that there are no delays.

For Nebraska it's faster. But for potomac approval like me taking forever. It's been 27 days since I was approved. Still nothing. Good luck.

I just realized you were talking about case number assignment from noa2. It's usually about 20 days from the day the NVC received your case.

Usually if you call about one a week starting 2 or 3 weeks after your noa2 that's sufficient to find out when they received your case. Just be sure to have your uscis case number ready when you call. And maybe a comfortable seat because you'll be on hold a while...

The after you find out when your case was received it doesn't hurt to call every few days until the 20 day point, after that I'd probably call every day so I didn't waste any time.

Hi vjmates, I paid iv fees few days ago till yesterday it was showing (in proocess), today I heard website went down for while and suddenly my iv fees status changed to (pay now). Anyone else having the same problem or any one can help me to explain it.

HAPPY NEWS FOR US!So, I've been checking the ceac website every 3-4 hours the past few days.I checked a few hours ago and called nvc and still there was no update on our case.I decided to check the website again,I noticed it was taking a little longer than usual to log in and then when it did- 3 N/As!!!SOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!I'm on the phone right now with nvc again to confirm.

Hubby said it was the best news to start his day!! Good luck to everyone waiting,I hope you all get CC and interviews scheduled ASAP!

Our scan date was the 27th of November so today is day 40 for cc! :joy:(L):joy:(L):joy:(L)

Congratulations again.... Can you please check your case at the CEAC VISA STATUS CHECK to see what it says?

Actually I am asking every one with a CC to check there to verify what the status is.

Your Status will not change at NVC until you get Interview and your Case file sent to embassy. If you watch it you may see it change to "IN TRANSIT". Once it arrives at embassy and scanned in Status will say "READY" and You will start having Case Status update dates applied.

Until than it will say "AT NVC"
