Well I guess this is a goodbye from me to all of you.

On Tuesday my fiancee sent me an email with a letter attachment telling me she can't marry me because she no longer loves me.

We have been together for almost two years, been through so much ####### together and just when everything was starting to fall into place she does this completely out of the blue.

Everything I have done in my life for the last 14 months has been geared towards finally being with her and now she has flipped my world upside down and left me nothing but a shell of a man with no idea what to do next.

I firmly believe that everything in life happens for a reason, i think this reason is going to take me a life time to understand

To everyone who has helped me on this forum, I thank you. To everyone on the journey I was on, good luck....

Sorry to hear that, Andrew. Long distance relationships are not easy. They are tougher than most people would ever believe. The commitment and focus that are required are way too much for most people to endure. But you will recover. This situation will probably never make any sense, and yo may never get an answer to "Why". But you will heal and move on with your life. Again, sorry for your pain.

Boy, another sad story in VJ community. I'm so sorry for what happened. It's indeed a heartbreaking one but you are right, everything happens for a reason. Nobody knows what's in store for us in the future but you can always be sure that something good is always waiting for each one of us. I guess she's not really the one destined to be your lifetime partner. What happened to you is just another test for you to pass. It's not easy, but in this life, we meet obstacles and hurdles along the way before we could finally get what we truly deserved. God bless you!

My heart is breaking with you ! This is so, so sad. Nothing hurts worse than being rejected. Pray on the matter, and give it time. The devil IS a liar , and if this relationship was meant to be, God will turn it around for the good. If anything else, He will give you the grace and peace to heal.

I was thinking about posting the letter up to get everyones opinion on it, but I doubt if anyone really wants to see my misery.

I tried to talk to her yesterday but she siad she needs time to think and asked me to leave it until saturday.

This has confused me even more. If she has made up her mind then what does she need to think about?

This really is more than my heart can take, I have not slept, eaten or been able to work since this happened

I would not wish this on my worst enemy, everything I had has gone in the blink of an eye.

I am so sorry to hear this, it sounds like she has just left you reeling. As someone else said, not everyone can handle long distance relationships - maybe Myrna is one of them?

I dunno how but I really hope things would get better for you... somehow I feel like she is not ready to face the whole visa process... It is stressful and maybe she's just not sure if she could get the Visa to finally be with you in the end. Maybe it is wise to give her some time to think.... meanwhile, try to be ready for any final decisions she might come up with.

Snap! Although I'd kill him before it killed me! Geez...whats up with the email/Yahoo breakups? I too had a split up during a K1 - 6 days before the interview. One day when the USCIS tallies up the cancellation rate and it out numbers the actual petitions that make it to interview, they will do away with the "fiance" visa altogether. Sorry about your situation former Myrna guy...you need a shot of scottish whisky and friend. Step away from the computer and clear your head.
