I filed mine the same way. The thing I quoted is in the "Next Steps" section when you check it on their website while logged in.

Ah, I see.. I just signed up and my Next Steps says this :

"If we accept your case, you will receive a receipt notice. If we reject your case, we will send you an explanation with instructions."

This wait is ridiculous.

That's what mine said before I did the service request.

Yes it is quite ridiculous! I really thought we would get it this week. At this rate I won't be able to get my drivers license until April! Argh. I just want to start working and get out of the house and contribute to society.

Also, the whole not knowing anyone here thing is frustrating. I miss my friends and family.

Glad your service request was completed! I hope you hear back soon.

As far as I can tell, mine hasnt even been touched. My case status says "As of March 7, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number ************* is currently not assigned for processing."

Should I have called instead?

Oh really, i submitted mine online on the 8th, i wonder why they haven't assigned yours already, am i the only one getting frustrated with the waiting,i wanna start working already. Maybe if you call and inquire about it they might do something, i dont know just guessing. ...

I already got my temporary driving license but I can't get any further until I receive EAD. I plan to

go to congressman's office tomorrow and see if they can do something about it.

I have to turn down job offers because of this, which sucks..

You can still go for it while waiting for EAD, atleast one more thing will be checked off the list..

My congressman is Duncan Hunter, I just downloaded the authorization form and gonna fax it to them shortly.

I have seen in the forum that service requests coming from congressman's office always work.. Also,

What is the time frame for getting an AOS interview? We had an RFIE for 485 in January - when can we expect to start to hear from them for 485 interview and green card?

There is no time frame for an interview. Your case status will change to "Ready for an Interview", but you still may get an interview waiver (with or without an interview waiver notice or NPIW) after that status change. You search your local office processing time frames to get an idea of what cases your local office is working on. However, this is no guarantee that you won't get the GC in a few more weeks.

When I spoke to a rep on one of our many calls, they mentioned that they try to approve GC's within 4 months, so maybe. We have seen quite a bit of GC approvals for December filers already. Will we see more in April and May?

Signature coming soon...
