Day 24 CountDown

Phones are out again for the past 3 days. :girlwerewolf2xn:

I'm trying to get a word to Aisha to move to Addis so she can start her medical/police. So as to have it done, in advance. Minor hiccup, we are still okay.

A celebration is in order we are at milestone "page 200" and still going strong! Good job you guys

My fiance's interview is tomorrow. We are both very anxious. We will be chatting tonight to make sure all her paperwork is in order. When I wake up in the morning, I will have a message from her that will say approved or not (she is 3 hours ahead). How am I supposed to sleep tonight? Lol.

48 hours until the interview.

View of the US embassy from my hotel room. So close now. Hope all goes well.

Good luck EricAndOrn and Shawn&Jaque! Everything will be fine, and we will all be waiting anxiously to hear your good news!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Man I'm sweating bullets, maybe I'll try some of this hot sauce I bought called Satan's Blood to cool off.... also got me some "Rectal Rocket Fuel" hot sauce..... C'mon approval where are you?

You really want to lite yourself up? Dave's Insanity Sauce.

I'm a hot food freak. I have beat all the "hot chicken wing" challenges from restaurants. I use ghost peppers in my chilli.

And Dave's is wacko crazy. Kills the flavor it is so hot.

ERTexas and Jaime, if you haven't discovered the best hot sauce shop I've ever seen, and since you both live in Texas, check out Tears of Joy if you're ever in Austin (or online http://www.tearsofjoysauces.com/). I loooooooove hot sauce so whenever I go on a business trip or vacation, I always seek out a local hot sauce to bring back home with me. When I discovered Tears of Joy shop, I went nuts...I bought about 10 bottles and had to check my bag on the way home (somehow none broke). They have sauces from all over, plus they make a few of their own which are also very good (I recommend their August in Austin sauce for an excellent, hot everyday sauce).

With great dismay, I learned that the embassy requested a 2015 tax return from somebody today. They must be joking, as everyone knows 2015 tax returns are not due until April 15, or, as in my case, even later, because I usually have to file for extensions due to the complexity of my return.

Even if I wanted to, I would not be able to file yet, as I have not received all my 1099s and K-1 forms for taxes. As a matter of fact, even if I were an employee, W-2 forms were not due from employers until yesterday (January 31)

https://www.socialsecurity.gov/employer/filingDeadlines.htm

Print this out and have it ready for her to show the CO.

Since Jan 31 was a Sunday the W-2's were not due until yesterday 2/1 but they should not be asking for the 2015 return at this point.

If you/they provide 2012 thru 2014 plus recent pay stub and or bank records showing recurring deposits then that should be enough for now.

Okay. So I just heard from my fiance. She said they took her passport and said she will receive it in 2 weeks. They didn't say if she was approved or not. Is that bad? Would they take your passport if they deny you? From what her and I have read this is a good thing.

Maybe they are planning a diamond heist, and will use it as the getaway?

Joking. Sounds approved to me!!!:thumbs::star::star::thumbs::thumbs:

In Ukraine if it was an approval the CO office says after the interview "You will have your passport within a week". If there was no approval they give you a white paper that explains that you should wait for an additional administrative processing. So I'm sure you were approved! Congrats!
