Hi MarciaSean! I'm sorry to hear that they checklisted you for such a minor thing.

If you ask me, I wouldn't send it again! Why? Because they might just tell you in the checklist letter to take it with you at the interview.

But why don't you try and call again this morning? They should open in 30 mins :) and you can ask them again. If you get a helpful rep ask if it's just that reason and if you can take that at the interview or you need to send it again to them. Don't wait, call them and be nice when asking them :D Good luck!

Congrats!!! :) Good luck with the medical and interview! You're almost done with this!!

You would think that they would still give the 3 N/A's and then send a checklist of any additional documents that needs to be taken to the interview.

I will call for more information today.

Yes, I think that's possible. But as I said, best to call them and ask :)

I just called and was advised that I can send in the required documents before getting the email/letter as long as I have a cover letter with my case #.

I will be emailing the documents to NVC by the end of the week.

I'm sorry, that's just silly, in my opinion. But then again, nothing else we can do at this point.

We also got checklisted because they lost our papers ? I called as well (amazing that i got thru straight away and the wait time was 2 minutes!!) and they told me I just need to wait either for the supervisor review to be done or for them to review the documents that we re-sent (which is due 14th of Nov). Oh well...more waiting, not really uncommon :)

How long does it take on average to send an approved case from USCIS (NSC) to NVC?

Our petition was approved a week and a half ago. I called NVC, they said they didn't receive it yet, and that it takes 35 days for an approved petition to reach them.

Seriously?

Hey can you please guide me whIch number did you press after calling them? I called them today but it was a recorded message saying they're working on other customers, please call later... I haven't received any welcome letter from NVC about my case number and all.. Kind of upset :( also tell me when did you receive noa2? I saw my status on the website that my case was sent to the department of state on October 13th..

Yes it is very difficult to get through. Sometimes I have had to call, hangup, recall over 40 times before it actually got through and then a few times I'd call and get through on the first time. It can be annoying but just try to stick with it.

Once you do get through, I picked 1 for English, then 2 to establish an agent, request a fee bill or invoice number.

I received noa2 on Sept 18 and NVC didn't receive it until Oct 5, and didn't have a case number until Oct 19.

Well I'm quite happy. I've been calling almost everyday since I submitted my DS-261 on 10/19 when I got my case number. The case has always been locked and they kept saying to call back later. Finally last night I got an operator that seemed a lot more knowledgeable than the others who said she would forward my case to a supervisor to unlock and I could call back today. (It was right before closing last night so maybe no supervisor around at that point). I just got through today and it was unlocked so I got my choice of agent reviewed and am awaiting my IV fee->DS-260. I'm so happy to get that done so I won't have to call back until they review my documents.

I don't know if USCIS have sent our case yet to NVC.

Would it help to call and bug USCIS, asking them to send the case?
