I don't think nvc will care about the extra documents. If anything, they might forward additional info to consulate. Either way you should bring any supporting documents to show relationship to the interview.

You're welcome!

If you think the lease of your house will help to convince them of financial stability or even relationship, it doesn't hurt to send it. However, don't expect that it will automatically get forwarded to embassy for you. From my understanding, they don't need to see that at nvc, not sure that it is bad to include it ahead of interview

It's not necessary. This is what the NVC site says regarding Proof of Relationship:

If you completed Form I-864A, submit evidence that proves your relationship to the sponsor (the person who filed Form I-864). You can prove your relationship by submitting a photocopy of one of the documents below:

  • Birth certificate;
  • Marriage certificate;
  • Adoption certificate;
  • The petitioner or joint sponsor’s most recent Federal Income Tax Returns, if you are listed as a dependent; or
  • A signed, written statement describing the relationship.

From: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Step_4_Collect_Financial_Documents.html

They just ask for one of them - if you send your marriage certificate, it is enough.

Sending more documents will not change anything, IMHO. Save these other evidences for the interview.

That is interesting that you got an email today.... hmmm wonder if anyone is working overtime..I guess the system can still generate emails today

Sept 3rd is your scan date. Multiple emails for one thing is not necessarily a bad thing.

Hello everyone I Know this has already been asked but i guess my situation is a tad bit different. When my husband sent in our petition to USCIS the only proof of relationship we submitted was our marriage certificate, no pictures or anything else ( I am still surprised we were approved without any RFE ). Do you guys think it is a good idea to submit those when we send in the IV documents just so it becomes part of our file eventually sent to the embassy or should we take these along only to the interview. Welcome your thoughts thanks.
