Arizona is such a weird state i don't know if writing to senators would do much at all. Sadly, this state is very racist and anti-immigration. Oh and if my husband does attempt to cross it would be in juarez/elpaso. i hope something happens before then. Oh lord hear all our prayers.

Regardless of how the State is, this forum is about legal immigration. The States' citizens and elected representatives (who act anti-immigrant) are themselves immigrants at some generation.

All those pregnant, Hope you know about CRBA.

No need to worry about the baby, baby is a US citizen as father/mother is a USC. You need to go to embassy with the baby, both father and mother and get US Birth certificate. Once you get the Birth Certificate, you can get US Passport. I did this analysis when we planned to have baby, then I said I cant have baby whn I stay away from my hubby, so we changed the plan. If you know this, pls ignore.

I guess it will be easy with newly born baby. Check it out.

Just called NVC and she said she believes that they are already scheduling for October

Personally I believe this is the case. And people will probably be hearing next week October dates.

If they could somehow pack all waiting CR1s into October, that'll be awesome.

(If LPRs and F2As were gifted Aug\Sept, CR1s need October.)

Don't forget about the Ir1s also. That would be awesome if they could just catch up on interviews and schedule all of us for the next 2 mths.

Hey Guys,

So it turns out I was not worrying unncessarily yesterday. My husband's interview was supposed to be today.. but they basically turned him away because they said our case was not in the system and no appointment had been scheduled (even though he brought a copy of the appointment letter) yet and our case is still "in transit"..He said they took a copy of his passport..wrote down his email address and phone number and told him it would be 10-15 days before they called him to reschedule. I find this completely unacceptable. I know the package is there.. I tracked it from the NVC.. Help?! what are my next steps

I feel devastated..this was supposed to be a happy day :(

Both parents don't have to go to embassy. The US citizen just has to send necessary documents in is all. Its really simple to do.

You track a package but it doesn't necessarily mean it was yours. Really sorry of the delay. There's nothing really that can be done. Just hold on hopefully they will call you. I think I remember before this happening to someone at your embassy.

You could try emailing them if you haven't or contacting your Senator or Congressman if you feel that will help.

It could be a situation where it was on route to embassy and called back. I have seen that happen also. Again really sorry.

You bring up a good point about the package..

I have emailed them..and also the Senator and Congressman this afternoon..so I hope that will spur things into action.

I saw in the consulate review sections for our embassy this has happened at least twice before.. each time the file was at the embassy just not in the system at the time of the scheduled interview for some reason.

It's just so frustating. My husband traveled 2 hours and waited all day to be just turned away. Not to mention I was hoping we would be together for our 2nd anniversary on Sept 2nd.. that doesn't seem very likely now.

When you call the NVC do you choose option 7 on the menu, i.e. inquiries about interview? I chose that option and once I asked about the scheduling she connected me to the regular customer service with the "20" min wait time. So annoying
