What I see afterall, COs at the embassy in some counties having good cup of cappuccino/coffee/tea then spend some time on nonsense. Then without approaching case humanly and with knowledge they do prejudiced decrees based on color and race. I call this racial bias. You can see that from their talking manner. Welcome to good old world!!! In my humble opinion Obama should do something about it..

Guys what I can see is lots of CR1 application being denied at Ghana embassy! After reading all this comments I was little scared that same thing could heppen to us at US embassy dhaka bangladesh as I was interviewed few days ago. But I noticed on that day each and every CR1 applicant got tha visa and every interview lasted only 2-3 minutes, and all COs was so polite and gentle to us.

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

Before USCIS intend to send our case back they told me that, they consider my wife to be married to two people,that is me and her ex husband.

The consular made it clear to me that they consider my wife to be married to two people. Meanwhile my wife obtain her divorce decree from the country (Mexico) and submitted to USCIS and they approved our case.

But my wife still defends that by saying that sometimes the embassy don't tell the applicant the truth.

Can someone clarify this for us to understand.

Is anybody here once told the reason why your case is being sent back to USCIS and later turns to be a different issue?

Because i was told by the CO that they consider my wife to be married to two people and my wife has to divorce her ex-husband and remarry me again. But when we involve the Senator the embassy told the Senator our marriage is a Sham marriage.

Does this relate to the divorce papers my wife submitted to USCIS? My wife filed for her divorce papers in the country Mexico. Please help friends on visa journey....

I think that for that reason that your wife married some one to get her papers and coming to re- marry, they are going to stretch you a bit...just don't give up and you guys will get through .

Kofi1 am the Applicant. My wife is the petitioner. On my interview day i remember KM asked me questions like has your wife ever travel to Mexico i said no and she asked if her ex husband ever been to Mexico i said no.

Why did you say no ? Why did you not say that you don't know. If she filed in Mexico then she traveled there. Why did she file for divorce in

Mexico ? Did she live there ?

When was the divorce final ? When did she separate from her ex and when did you both started talking ?

Why did your wife not submit the divorce decree with the petition ?

All relevant questions that the CO is drawing conclusions from.

my wife has never travel to Mexico which i know for sure she has never traveled there neither has her Ex husband too. So i know they never travel there. She filed for her divorce decree through an Attorney they have an office in the US.

The divorce decree was issued by the Mexican Judiciary. My wife has been living separately from her Ex-husband for good 11 years before we met. I met my wife in January 2013 and she filed for her divorce decree in March 2013 and got the whole paper work in April 2014.

She came to visit me in Ghana May 2013 and we got married in June 2013. One will say we did everything fast fast but we were so connected and never thought there will be questions like why we got married so fast.

But before she filed for I-130 she wrote a letter telling USCIS when we met and how she enjoyed living with me in Ghana. So all her story about her Ex husband in the letter she wrote and included in the petition she submitted.

I think that was where the problem begun.since your spouse didn't get married to her ex in Mexico and they have never lived there in their life time, why should a divorce be filed there jayfe?

Similar problem here, except USCIS send an RFE and yours was accepted by USCIS.

I still don't get why your wife's decree was issued in Mexico and not USA if the attorney has an office in USA.

Did you get the dates right?

You married in June 2013, but her final paperwork for the divorce did not arrive till April 2014? In that case, USCIS is correct, she was married to two men at the same time, and thus your marriage is not legit.

That's true, I didn't catch that. It doesn't matter when the divorce was filed, she was still considered married until the divorce was

finalized. So what do you mean when you say that the paperwork did not arrive until April 2014 ? Arrive as in finalized ?
