Hi everyone.

My interview is this monday 15th. Im pretty nervous and anxious. Im so worried about not getting the visa. I cant imagine not being able to be with my fiance after all this time and sacrifice. I dont know if thats normal, if any of you, before the interview were expecting the worst or were really worried (or scared, I would say) about getting a negative answer. I dont know if it is only me being paranoid, or it is normal to feel that way. I cant way for this monday and finally know what my destiny will be.

Anyway, Im pretty concerned about the questions. I know I have to answer only what they ask and not give unwanted information, in few words, "yes-no" answers. My fiance came to visit me in August 2013, and then we met in my home country in April 2014, both times we spent like 13 days together. So, i know they will ask me for sure if he have ever come to visit me, and i will answer, yes, in 2013. But my concern is, should i add to this answer that we also met in my home country in April or not? Will I be giving unsolicited information? what if they took that we have only met this time in August and they think it is not enough and for that reason dont approve my visa? I sent pictures of us together, and behind the pictures i wrote where and when they had been taken, several of them from this trip we made and he met my family. but i dont know if they will notice it.

I dont want to have any problem, and I dont want them to think that we only met one time. I dont know what to do. =(

Don't worry:) K-1 interviews are less scary than they seem (or maybe I was just extra lucky), but the officer I had the interview with was very friendly and they, of course, understand that you are nervous (on my GC interview last Wednesday I said my maiden name instead of my current name and my husband failed to remember my mom's full name, but we still got approved).

Just relax and go with the flow, answer the questions that the interviewer asks. If your relationship is genuine, I'm sure he/she will know it and give you the conclusion you deserve:)

I understand you really well about being worried. After my K-1 was approved, I came outside of the embassy and started crying and couldn't help it just because it was such a huge weight off my shoulders. Just rember that if everything is real with you and your fiance, they have no reasons to say no.Good luck:)

If it makes you feel better, you're not alone :) I was so nervous the weeks before my interview. When it was finally over I finally relaxed and I got a migraine attack that lasted 1 and a half days. :P

If you really did see each other in April why not mention it? Why would that be unsolicited information? I think that some people here worry that if they give out too much information they will get denied. Be honest and courteous. Yes, do not volunteer a bunch of information that they are not asking for but don't feel worried about elaborating your answers if you feel it is to your advantage.

I had my interview today and was soooo scared and nervous. I spent about an hour in total at the embassy. First up was to give away all the documents and then wait and read a pamphlet about domestic violence in the states and then interview. I had a ton of evidence with me which I think helped our case a little. I was asked when/ how we met, where did we go for our dates and at what time I started to see my fiancé as a husband. Then the interview guy asked where some photos were taken and he even made a "joke" to see if "I knew" if we had any photos of us when I was in the states. And when I had the photos out he was like: haha I know ;)

But then I was asked about wedding plans and one question about my previous visa denial and what that was about.

Just make sure you know your relationship and dates, and it's fine not knowing everything. I couldn't remember the correct name of where my fiancé works haha. Too complicated to say I told the interview man haha..

[Moderator hat off]

OP, ignore all "you will be fine / it will be easy" replies. No one can ensure anything. Instead, go atop any VJ page, click "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy," and read what pertains to YOUR consulate. In addition, search the Mexico/Latin & South America regional forum for relevant threads.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thanks to all for your replies.

As TBoneTX suggested, I had already checked the embassy reviews, it helped me a lot to find out what kind of questions they ask, and how the interview is. However, I'm still a bit worried :dead: lol. i guess its pretty normal.. I just cant believe the day I have waited for years will be this monday, I'm excited bc I will finally be with my bubu  , nervous, melancholic (about leaving this country which I love more than my own home country), and other mixed feelings lol

I was thinking of saying, when they ask me if my fiance has ever come here, to say "yes, and we have also met in Peru". I dont think it will be given too much unsolicited information, right?.
