Hello all!

I have been reading about Canadians scheduling (or verifying) their interview directly with the Embassy. Do we all have to do this? My interview was scheduled by NVC on 28th of July in Vilnius, Lithuania, I have a confirmation e-mail from the NVC, my status shows "In transit". Do I have to call or email the Embassy to verify/register my interview? Or I just wait for my scheduled appointment date and go straight to the Embassy?

I am sorry if it sounds stupid question :)

Visa approved June 18. Yesterday CEAC status was ready. Earlier Today CEAC status was Administrative Processing. I just checked again the status is showing as Ready again. It's confusing but I will try to check status once a day instead of multiple times a day. That is too much of an emotional roller coaster for me. Lol! I'm so glad I found Visa Journey. This websites helps keep me sane! Thanks to everyone who contributes to this website.

Visa Journey helped me find an error on the AOS in February 2015. In March 2015 I was also able to help my spouse get the correct birth records required by NVC by reading the Nigerian thread on Visa Journey.

April 2, 2015- Case is in Supervisor Review because the DS260 form was sent electronically January 6, 2015 but hasn't been reviewed as of yet.

April 17, 2015- I finally have the 3rd N/A next to the Affidavit of Support fee. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday (Thursday). She told me she would have the case reviewed by the end of the week. It looks like she kept her word. I will call again tonight to confirm case complete :)

April 17, 2015- CONFIRMED CASE COMPLETE

June 18, 2015- Interview

July 01 , 2015- CEAC Status Shows Issued

July 03, 2015- Welcome to USA!!!

Hey Zirq, looks like we will be getting our visas soon, Im not sure about this but do u think loomis will deliver the package to our home or we have to go and pick it up, the closest one to me is Markham and that is still far.

SNAP! thats good to hear.... I live in Markham so mine is also picking up from markham but its not too far from me. On the montreal website under the courier section there is an option I think....once the waybill number gets assigned to the visa and is on its way to loomis,...from what I understand you can email them and they pay i think $20 to have it delivered to the house!

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/courier - this is the link maybe once in transit you can contact loomis in markham and ask them

Document Delivery Service to an address within Canada

An applicant may request that his or her passport be delivered to an address within Canada by following the procedure below.

Step 1: Once the waybill number appears on the Applicant Summary, the applicant has to send an e-mail to csc@loomis-express.com and provide the following information for each applicant:

  • Applicant full name (as written in the passport and visa application)
  • Waybill number
  • Daytime phone number
  • Full address in Canada (ONLY)
  • Special instructions (i.e. leave at reception, leave on 3rd floor suite 100, etc., additional contact information)

Step 2: Loomis will call applicant within 2 business days to arrange payment. The costs for each shipment will depend on whether the package needs to be shipped within the same province or it is a national shipment.

  • Same Province: $18.84 + Taxes
  • National: $20.55 + Taxes

Step 3: Once the payment transaction is complete, Loomis will send the documents to the address defined by the applicant at step 1.

NOTE: If the applicant declines charges or Loomis cannot collect the charge, the passport will be delivered to the Loomis location initially selected by the applicant at no cost.

DISCLAIMER:

  • Loomis will make two delivery attempts during regular business hours (9:00 -18:00). If the two attempts fail, Loomis will send the passport back to the branch location originally selected.
  • Loomis will leave package with anyone who answers the door at the requested address and signs for it.
  • Loomis will require the signature of the package and will not leave the document at the address if nobody is there to sign for it.
  • If Loomis is unable to deliver the passport after two attempts, but the applicant still requires the passport to be delivered at a specific address, a new service request starting with Step 1 and new transaction payment will be required.
  • Documents will be delivered within the next two (2) business days of having completed the payment.
  • Service fees are nonrefundable.
  • This service does not provide for delivery outside of Canada.
  • The following terms and conditions apply:

So my wife got case complete on April 8th and we still do not have a interview date. I call about twice a week and they just keep telling me to wait. She is from mexico.

I talked to another girl on here from Mexico who got case complete a day before us and she got her interview date two weeks ago. This is seriously taking forever. Almost 3 months.

Anyone else experiencing this?

My husband's interview was yesterday and he was approved. However, there was mention of an issue printing visas (I see some have mentioned it here too) and he was told it could be 10 days or so until he get's his visa in hand.

While I didn't participate a lot in this thread, I mainly was in the NVC CC thread the most, I did obtain a lot of useful info here regarding the interview. So thank you for that. I personally found the two threads totally different, each with it's own unique information pertaining to the stages we all must pass thru. This thread seemed more dedicated to the Interview stage and I wouldn't change a thing. Again, thank you.

Interesting, I just checked out the link provided here for the U.S. Department of States news regarding the visa issues and the list shows the country my husband had his interview in yesterday as up and running. I wonder when that happened since yesterday he was told there was an issue and it would take longer to get the visa. Oh well, I guess it's good news they are back up and running. :dancing:

***Someone for Vietnam just called NVC and got interview date. His CC was 4/17. You still around QM&TD. ***

Also I have decided going forward you guys post such great information on your own embassies that need to be kept LIke biometrices for India, and Loomis for Canada and DHL for Jamaica. I will start adding these to the 1st post gpoing forward. I am always hunting through old threads trying to find for folks so now it will be a my finger tips.

Thank you Zirq that is great.

Can someone for India give me the specifics to making biometric appointments.

Same for Jamaica getting Passport/Visa back.

And if there are any other embassies with specific registration they must go please post and I will have it added.

Also you know as a VJ member you all are free to go yo your countries portal information page and update. That information should always stay updated. The doctor info, hotels, prices all that fun good stuff. Most the pages has so much about K1 business let's also let the IR1/CR1's know things too.

Okay. I say start calling NVC let's start rolling people. :goofy: :dancing:
