So I've been reading the NVC wiki info and from that, it seems that NVC doesn't really email out updates about the case, like USCIS does.

Is the only way to find out our scan date to call NVC or will they send a snail mail or email about it?

What about if we get a checklist, will that be communicated to us via email or snail mail?

Lastly, when we get case complete, do we only know that through the three N/As and then calling up NVC to check or do people actually get email or snail mail notification, kind of like USCIS' NOA2?

as far as I know nvc sent email for scan date to us

and as I read here nvc has been sending CC email too.

We haven't received any email from NVC throughout this process. Not for when we paid the IV fee, filled out the DS-260 or now when we sent in all our documents. Just feels like we should have received email responses at some point, like we did from USCIS. Did you get an email notification when you submitted your DS-260?

I have been receiving emails from NVC. This includes my welcome letter, scan dates twice and interview date. Make sure you give them your email when you call.

we received emails from NVC.. Welcome Letter, Scan dates (TWICE), Emails for AOS, IV. No Letter for DS 260 thou.

CC letter is sent .. Contact NVC and ask why you are not getting emails. Double check your email ID with their database

I'll wait till Friday to see if we get an email about our scan date. They didn't receive our papers until last Monday. How long does it normally take from when they receive the documents until you get a notification on scan date?

NVC was emailing us. For the checklist and then for the Case Complete.

We got the 3 N/As BEFORE the NVC sent the Case Complete letter - about a week or so.

We tried calling the NVC but could never get through.

Our doc was delivered on 6th and 9th May we got email which was followed by another email with same content but different date (11th May)

I also sent my package on May 15, no email yet. I would also call on Friday to check.

for ds 260, I did get an email yesterday saying that its completed.

My fiancee and I are going the K-1 route and I couldn't contact NVC via phone to find out the case # so I emailed them twice and after two or so weeks got a letter from them dated May 11, 2015 with all of the information I had sought. When I checked the status on CEAC it indicated ready so I am pleased with how quickly the I-129F packet was processed. So far this is the only communication I've received from NVC and having the case # will allow my fiancee to fill out the DS-160 online.

Ensure that the NVC does have both email addresses correctly on file for the case.

You should definitely get emails from NVC, something must not be right if you don't get them. The scan date email I got 4 days after they got the actual package.
