Hello, I am about to file the i130 for my husband who is from Nigeria. I have printed out over a years worth of our what's app chat and emails and phone calls which all amount to well over 1500 copies total. Will I have to make multiple sets of these copies for different phases in this whole process? For myself or hubby? Will he have to provide all of this at his interview? If so, I need to know before I send it to USCIS.

I have another question also. When my husband and I got married in Nigeria I had to write my married last name on my marriage certificate. Will that mess up anything because I have not changed my name officially yet and all of my documents for example, drivers license, birth certificate, Social Security card all say my maiden name. I am afraid that it will cause a problem. Am I worried for nothing?

Last question, almost 5 years ago when I moved into my old apartment I do not remember the exact date. Will a guesstimation do? Or will I have to have the exact dates?

Thank you so much in advance for any help that you can give on these questions from your knowledge. This site has been so very helpful to me and my husband.

That is way too many you need at most a few pages of each over different times, pictures are important, passport stamps, flight tickets/itineraries as well .

Just a dose of reality you will not get approved in 14 days like the other poster it will likely take you 5-7 months at uscis as the other poster comes from the Philippines which are expedited before others .

+1 Very true. Didn't mean to get hopes up just pointing out it doesn't take excessive documentation to gain approval

Thin the copies out to show communication from day one to current, a few per week.

Frontload it to USCIS (if you send 1500 you will piss someone there off so thin it out).

Sideload at NVC with updated ongoing communication evidence.

Then have hubby bring a copy of all evidence to the interview including the newest communications.

Keep one copy for yourself if needed later in case of denial.

What other relationship evidence do you have ? Boarding passes, hotel receipts, lots of photos with family also, dated

and divided for each trip.

What about financial co mingling, does he own any land he can put your name on, what about having him as a beneficiary

of your insurance policy ? Joint bank account in Nigeria ? Do a well rounded quality package not just chats.

No issue with the name as you have not legally changed it here.

Exact dates are better but if you can not access that info then a guestimate will do.

Don't rush this thing but take extra time to get it right.

Lagos is a tough embassy. I advice you to visit as often as you can and be there for the interview.

Thanks guys! Ebunoluwa, thanks especially. So when you say send him all the evidence should it be the thinned out version like what I will send to petition?

Also, yes I have ticket info and tickets, pictures of our wedding and family but no joint accounts. I can do that though, but I wonder if he can add me to his bank account without me being present?

This is some great advice... Thanks so much. I definitely want to get this right.

Just to note if you moved into that apartment then you likely signed a lease or other document.

Yes but when I moved in and during my lease agreement the owner sold the property and I do not know who owns it now or where one would look to get that information.

I may have misread your timeline, you have met once and married?

This is way too much "contact" stuff. One every other week 2-3 a month is more than enough.

I did not see the co-mingling of your assets, and monies listed.,.,.this is important.,.I would think.

The other members have answered your questions, I just question your inter-mingling of assets and monies.

Take a good look, and good luck, it is a tough embassy, I have read so many times.

NLR, no I don't have a copy from that apartment from 5 years ago. I would not know where to begin finding it. And as for who I paid, I paid my landlord who was owner when I leased the place and he sold it while I was still living there.

Yes, have met and married
