This is for the South African embassy so please carefully review your P4 letter and do not use this as an all inclusive list. I think some embassies are different and all cases are different.

1. Folder with the proof of relationship items we sent with our I-130 and new items since we have lived apart.

- Skype call logs for 4 months

- All travel to see one another

- Photos of dating, our wedding, with each others families

- Signed contracts with our realtor in the US

(Husband said they kept a lot of this)

2. Copies of EVERYTHING (I-30, NVC packages and all correspondence with NVC and USCIS along the way)

(Husband said they asked for none of this, was more of a backup)

3. Original Civic Documents: His long form birth certificate, long form marriage certificate, and police clearance.

(They kept his original police clearance)

4. Updated 2014 Tax Return Info: Filed Tax Return and W-2's

(Didnt ask to see this)

5. Passport photos and his passport.

(Kept both after approved)

6. Packet of documents they had given him at the medical.

Think that is it! Hope it helps!

You waited 1 1/2 years from cc to interview????? I feel disheartened :(

You aren't an F2A which means you don't have to wait for a Visa number or the Visa bulletin to be current so there's no long wait like them.

Hi everyone, i posted a few updated details on my case below. Dwheels can you please update my interview date. Also, I have two quick questions:

1. when i went to register my appointment online it stated we had choose the exact interview time listed in our letter, which was 7:00am, but the earliest time listed was 9:00am. We will still show up at the appointed 7:00am, but will this be an issue on the day of our interview because the times do not match?

2. The only medical appointment available was for 5/29 and my interview is 6/5 approximately 7 days apart. Do you think this is cutting it way too close? The nurse said this should be enough time but I am still a bit hesitant.

Husband had his interview today at the Johannesburg, South Africa consulate today and was approved! I am so relieved and excited, can't even describe the weight you feel lifted!!!

He said they asked several easy questions

1. Where did you two meet?

2. What does he do for work in South Africa?

3. What are our plans in the states- where are we living? What will he do for work?

That's all I got from him so far. He said he felt so confident having all of our documents organized as he saw lots of others that had forgotten originals, or were being turned away because they didn't have required documentation. BE PREPARED!!! Good luck to all!

Congrats Kels! So happy for you and your husband!
