Wohooooo! Got my NVC case number. 25 days post NOA-2, so on the longer side. Not working on CEAC yet, but another step done. Waiting for package three now.

Hiya,

since there have been a few exceptionally lucky December filers who got their NOA-2 already, I figured I'd start this thread for any questions and update about the rest of the process .

Good luck with the next steps - hope to be able to join eventually!

Hi All,

I came across this thread last night, and I have to say I got really depressed. I am happy for all of you that got your NOA2 approvals - but how the hell did you manage this? Please share your experiences.

Did you start calling them incessantly everyday? Did you try to expedite your application? Did you approach a lawyer for help? What did you do to get ahead of the curb?

Also - I do not for the life of me understand why this is happening. According to USCIS processing times, and those on this site as well - TSC is now processing applications they received on October 31/November 1. So why - why did your application that you sent in December get looked at without this queue? Can someone please explain how TSC looks at the applications and what the order actually is?

Thanks - and congratulations to those of you who got yours. But my god, I am at my wits end.

Hi, I didn't do any of the above. I just waited... I was impatient and very anxious . I was always looking at the TSC processing times and estimated dates and I thought I was going to have to wait until August or September but luckily I was one of the few that had their case processed before other December applicants - not sure how or why.

I know it's hard to wait... even though I waited less time than others I can feel your pain. FaceTime, Skype, writing letters, prayer, staying busy, and visiting my fiance helped a lot. What kept me positive was that I knew it wasn't going to take more than a year and if it was going to I was going to try and visit him again.

Stay strong and pray for patience!

Congratulations TabeaK! This makes me hopeful! I have a German beneficiary as well ;)

I hope we hear something soon. The only challenge we have is that the 129-f may go through in July.... My fiancee with be sailing across the Atlantic on a private yacht for work, and he will be out of touch, so I hope that won't cause any delays if it goes through while he is traveling. He will be ready for the next steps hopefully in August. Fingers crossed!

Waiting for my case to be sent to NVC. It has been 10 days so far...no status update. I guess I'll give it another 10-15 days before calling...

Hey my case was sent on June 2nd I finally got through today and they had a case number and told me it left for the consulate today. BTW when can I start using CEAC to track the rest of the process.

October 30th, 2015 Marriage

Biometrics completed December 18th, 2015
I465 changed to Ready for Interview December 23rd, 2015.

CEAC usually works in a few days.

Your case was sent relatively quick - that's great. Day 11 for me, case still at USCIS, no status update. Trying to be patient, but getting worried again...I think I'll only relax a little once it gets to the embassy.

11/2/2015: Not tuned in enough to Social Security not to pick "the first day of the month" to try to get signed up. Read VJ advice, it's spot on, we had a processor who knew K1. We were in the SAVE database in 3 days so it was easy after a 2 hour wait.

5/25/2016 Walk in for a "junior" Biometrics for an 11 year old (supposedly not required). Oops wrote down the wrong day, appointment was for 5/23/2016. USCIS office was nice and accepted us 2 days late.

7/13/2016 Finally the Check Status Website worked. Approved EAD and AP. Website still not working on AOS Green Card Application. No email notification at all....

7/15/2016 Card for EAD mailed. Card is for both EAD and AP. Received 7/19/2016. Waiting now for AOS Interview or Green Card Approval

7/19/2016 The USCIS.GOV is now working for our AOS application. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Seems others have access to USCIS.GOV Check Case now. Glitch fixed?

8/15/2016 I-485 Approved. Status now Card/Document Production

8/20/2016 GREEN CARD DELIVERED -118 Days K-2 Process complete, see y'all on Lifting Conditions board in a year or so

It probably means the embassy received the electronic case file. Paper copy may still be enroute. You should hear from the embassy soon!

My case was updated with "sent to NVC" yesterday.

I am not sure I am bothered to spend hours on the phone to NVC to get my case number - once the embassy sends me a letter, does that have the number as well? Does anyone know that?

Sorry for all the questions guys but my status on CEAC says READY does that mean the consulate received the packet. If so that was quick NVC told me they mailed it yesterday.

Yep. That means the embassy has received it.
