Hiya,

since there have been a few exceptionally lucky December filers who got their NOA-2 already, I figured I'd start this thread for any questions and update about the rest of the process .

Good luck with the next steps - hope to be able to join eventually!

I received both an e-mail and text message three hours ago saying that my case was sent to the Department of State for visa processing :) my fiancé will be waking up to a nice good morning text with the screenshot of the email lol

Now waiting for the case number ...

Things at the Naples Consulate General have been going so smoothly and quickly! My fiance' has his med exam and interview scheduled for July - he got the e-mail on Tuesday. We are SO in shock and surprised because everything is going so fast and positive for us. We are planning on having an August wedding if everything goes OK at the interview.. This is crazy! Hope to see more approvals and people on here soon! (F)(F)

Hey guys, how do you know when NVC receives the file and when it leaves? I received the NOA2 in the mail and it stated that the file has been sent over to NVC. How do I track the next steps? Thanks for your help.

I didn't get a notification nor e-mail of where or how to track my case or check up on it. After I received the NOA2 I was waiting two weeks to then call the NVC and get the case number and IIN but the US Consulate surprised me with an e-mail saying that it was already in Naples and my fiance received the packet 3 also quickly so I called that same day and they gave me the information. I believe the number was 603 334-0700. Everybody's case is different so I would say wait a week and a half or two weeks at least and then call the NVC to get your case number so you have it for when you get the packet 3.

This is so random.... So Today, June 05, 2015 I received a letter from the NVC dated June 1, 2015 saying that they had received my Approved i-129F and that they were forwarding it to the Consulate in Naples. It also had the case number, uscis receipt number, our names, and interview location on it.

... Ummm... My fiance' has had his interview scheduled since last Tuesday. LOL :content: . is it normal to get the letter that late? That was weird.. I was expecting to get this letter like 3 weeks ago but never received anything so that's why I called the NVC for the case number when I received the e-mail from the Consulate regarding Packet 3.

Well, better late then never.

Congrats to u.

Thanks :)
