We called yesterday but same story, just wait !!!

I dont know why they refuse to give us any time frame :(

Anxiously waiting for an update from your call :) Alas, I know it will be generic "you have to wait until we review"

We got a call Thursday 4/9 that we were missing some documents. We re-sent them that night via email and yesterday the NVC called to tell us we have a CASE COMPLETE!!

We sent out package to them on 3/15, so there is hope!

I have a question, i just spoke to a rep at NVC, I was hoping she would review my Change of Agent form that way the invoice for the AOS can be activated so that i can pay the fee, she said she cant that I should check in every week, when i mentioned that i have all my AOS docs and the civil docs ready but hesitant to send it in because apparently i have to print a cover letter to include in the package, she suggested i send the docs in anyway, she said i can type out a cover page with my case number, beneficiary and applicant name on it and put that on the docs package and send it in so the days can start counting on that one, my concern with that is i've read here where people complain about missing documents they sent in already, which ended up delaying their case,I've also read about people getting conflicting info from different NVC rep as well. what do you guys think about this ?

I have limited info on your case because you don't have a timeline but AOS bill is not dependent on Choice of Agent form A.K.A DS-261, IV bill is. Depending on when you got a case number you should have been able to pay AOS by now and just wait for the review of DS-261 so IV can be invoiced and DS-260. If you had been able to pay the AOS then you could just use that bar coded confirmation to send your both packages.

Not sure why you haven't been able to pay AOS fee.

That has been a fact however weird it sounds.

Ok, here is more information about my case, maybe it can help u understand. my case was sent to the NVC on the 10th of march, around the 20th of march i called and they gave me a case number and an invoice number, i logged into the CEAC and i was able to complete the choice of agent, When i click on the pay AOS fee it keeps saying not invoice yet, it doesn't have an amount to be paid either. my choice of agent say completed but apparently its not been reviewed yet, so that is my situation as of now, maybe u can provide more insight now

Honestly this is not a common situation and I haven't seen though I don't have much experience and hope someone else would give some insight. Normally DS-261 and AOS bill open at the same time and you are able to pay when you are filling DS-261. Please someone give some insights on this case if you have some experience. I would also keep calling NVC with two motives...to get invoice for AOS and get DS-261 reviewed. Sorry I don't have much help.

Shuttle, I have not heard of this either. My AOS fee was available to pay one day after I had the case number. What have the representatives said about the AOS not available to pay? I would think that your DS-261 could be reviewed over the phone by now. Perhaps you can get them to do that so you can pay both.

i keep getting the run around and conflicting information from one rep to the other, one time a rep told me they couldn't see that i completed the choice of agent, another told me he saw that i completed it but can not access it, he told me to keep calling every week, keep in mind im yet to receive any correspondent from NVC, i was able to get my case and invoice number when i called and a friendly rep gave it to me over the phone on the 26th of march actually and i immediately log into ceac, the only thing i was able to do was the choice of agent, whenever i click on pay fee, it takes me to another page and it says fee not invoiced

Did you give out your email address for both of you? I received and so did Kevin an email welcoming us and telling us the case number and IIN along with contact info and a document coversheet. Did you receive this email? Something is amiss here. I would call daily not weekly till this gets addressed properly for you.

Also, after you filled out the DS-261 did you print a confirmation receipt?

So you got the "Welcome Email" too? I'd would call as soon as you can on Monday and not stop till you can get someone to look seriously at what is going on with your case. Something is wrong and it needs to be fixed for you.

I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you. I'm frustrated that my DS-261 isn't ready to be reviewed and its only been less than a week. So no reason yet just impatient on my part. But I'll be calling Monday trying. So just be persistent, be polite but persistent.

I got the email the day after my case number was assigned and that's when the AOS invoice was available. It's officially called:

NVC Welcome Letter (PAOSF)

it includes the welcome and confirming the case number and IIN, how to contact the NVC, a invoice for the AOS if you choose to mail instead and then the document cover sheet to include in our package. Once you can pay the AOS fee online you will print out a bar code cover sheet to also include in your AOS & IV package.

I think something happened and whoever told you your case number dropped the ball with the email which in turn also never invoiced your AOS fee.

Armed with this info you should be able to get something done on Monday. Keep us updated on what happens. If you could fill out the timeline so that other can see your progress. Plus it helps with gathering data for newcomers to gauge there journey.

I wish you luck on Monday.

Hi all,

this is a question about EP vs. paper. It seems like people who are mailing in their AOS and IV packages are getting faster results. Is this true?

yes this is correct. ep is slower, so don't do it. snail mail is super quick....take a look at the stats....

htps://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10PgA_IJw9TFvAjQGxJUNaQpD-fgwi6yh0pusO54oppo/edit#gid=0

but, this is now....things changed dramatically in late feb without any notice from the nvc that processing was changing. note to self, it could change again for no reason.....especially since daca begins next month.

We got a call Thursday 4/9 that we were missing some documents. We re-sent them that night via email and yesterday the NVC called to tell us we have a CASE COMPLETE!!

We sent out package to them on 3/15, so there is hope!

nvc called you to tell you about a checklist?....how bizarre! but either way, congrats on your cc!!!
