@yams I call immigration. I filed on March 9 and I already went to my biometrics appointment last Monday. For what I've been reading here, all cases are different, some faster than others. But I would call just to make sure.

I've called and no info could be given to me (the petitioner) the rep said it was an applicaiton for a benefit and only the beneficiary could call.. I dont get it? I'll have to ask my husbasnd to call them.

I am starting to really worry (see timeline below) we have not received biometrics appointment.

We are only filing i485 (husband has work permit thru TPS, and i130 already approved in 2010)

03/04/2015 - Sent AOS (i485)

03/06/2015 - Package Received

03/09/2015 - First NOA

I see that most of the March members have already received biometrics appointments, what do you recommend?

I agree with most of people here about calling USCIS because it has been more than 30 days since your finger print fee was accepted. Some people’s applications are faster than others and there are so many factors contributing to it. I think some ASC are just so backed up. Look at my timeline, and you will notice, I just received my notice on April 11th, yet it was filed on Feb 27th.You could be receiving your notice this week

I am adjusting K1 with a K2 derivative..my USC husband and I has a biological child..now 11years old..he was granted his U.S. Citizenship thru CRBA while we are in the process for our visas,it was until our interview with the embassy that the CO told me that he was qualified for US citizenship and will not undergo the visa approval process since USCIS do not issue visas to USC ..we went thru a 3-way DNA too..to prove everything since it was kinda' late claiming my sons citizenship by consular birth abroad..it took us almost 4months in the waiting...after all the long process of getting our visas before,I pray now that everything will be much easier as we have gone thru so much expenses just to surpass everything..at least now he had a blue passport as his dad, that's why we were less burdened by the AOS fees...only me and my K2 are adjusting status...hope to have the schedule soon..and if ever I'll go first on the interview here with others, I will share soon my experience and how it goes...Good luck too and thank you for being active and supportive in this thread...

I see, you guys went through alot. I hope you will get an interview date soon! :)

Best of luck to you! :energy:

Oh I see. EWi means Entered Without Inspection and TPS means Temporary Protective Status.

This is not the right thread for you. Family Based Visa means K1. We all entered legally on a previously approved K1 visa. Your case is totally different. Even though your husband is adjusting through marriage you are supposed to post in the other sub forum. "Work, Student and Tourist Visas". You are more likely to find cases similar to yours there.

I had my biometrics yesterday. Everything was fine except that I waited almost an hour before my fingerprints were taken. I arrived to uscis center 12:40pm, after filling out forms I was told to wait in the waiting room, and my husband was not allowed to come with me. There were over 50 people waiting for biometrics, and I waited about 40 minutes before it was my turn. The staff working there were really friendly and nice.

Hi, my husband arrived on K-1 in December. We sent his AOS in early March, had biometrics appointment on April 6th. I had made a call to request an expedite of EAD on his behalf, due to medical issues that left me unable to work temporarily. We got the letter today which requested we fax in evidence to support the expedite. We faxed it a couple hours ago. I realize we are already only left with about a month wait normally but we hope this will speed things up a bit.

Good luck to all

Hello everyone.

I had my biometrics today here in palm beach county, florida. The girl told me that my name in her system is still not updated (not with my married last name) but when we sent all 3 applications i used my married last name along with certified copies of our marriage certificate.

She wants me to send a letter of explanation with supporting documents to USCIS National Benefits Center to inform them that i want my name to be changed.

I am worried that this may cause delay or confusion. I don't know if others have the same experience as mine. :(
