Example, they have sent all applicants from the Yemen Embassy to Cairo yet other countries less busy were passed by. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO send them to Cairo so we can totally screw these people up, see how much they can take until they go postal!! THEY MAKE NO SENSE AND THEY ARE DOING IT ON PURPOSE. And yes you can use all caps. :D

This is actually a bad example and I'll explain why. To obtain a visa to Saudi Arabia, you have to be doing one of the following:

  • be doing business there and submit your business contact 's information with a visa application (interviews for US visas do not count)
  • have family there and submit your family's contact information with a visa application
  • be participating in the Hajj.

Yemeni citizens require visas to enter the UAE and Qatar. Since most if not all embassies have suspended operations in Yemen due to the situation there, the only option is to send file to countries where Yemeni citizens can travel to visa free; Yemeni citizens can travel visa free to Egypt and Algeria which is why files are being sent to those two countries (Algeria was recently announced in addition to Egypt).

Hugs and kisses :luv:(F)(L)

I saw attorneys at the info pass too. They are limited to the amount of cases they can ask about, but they do it. You really have to stay on top of these people. It is sad we have to chase them when we are paying them to do a service.

Thank you, hugs and kisses right back at you. It's very difficult also when your not free to just take off when ever you want and are taking loved ones from one place to another. Just wish for once something was easy. (F) (L) (F)

Thank you for that, I can always trust you to correct me if I'm wrong and that is a very good thing. Still not happy about it but at least I know why things like this are going on. Stupid people causing innocents to suffer all over the world. :( Ty again. (F) (L) (F)

Thanks for this Ryan, I am so happy to hear they will split the workload. I've been going crazy waiting for Cairo to get caught up. Too bad they didn't split it earlier, hubby just got called back to active service for the army. I don't know what will happen if they schedule his interview while he's gone.

I'm sorry. It is ridiculous it took them that long to send it back. All they had to do is write the reason, stick it in an envelope and print a FedEx label. Shish!!

Why is this not computerized any freaking way. Hit a button, click return to USCIS and type the reason. This is darn stupidity in 2015 they still mailing documents that are pulled by horses and stacked in the back of carriages and rode across the country.

OMG 4 months, so very sorry and I'm waiting now for ours to be sent from NVC to USCIS again don't understand why they just don't send it from the Embassy directly to USCIS I'm sure they have a reason but I don't know that can be. Wondering now how long it will be taking at USCIS? Haven't we waited and suffered enough! Praying for all of us. (L)

To add insult to injury, one more way to slap us in the face!

If there's one lesson I have learned from this process, it's this: NEVER EVER DARE APPLY FOR A RELATIVE TO COME TO THE U.S., lesson learned :D

I'm thinking you mean tip toeing across the boarder and have done with it? Wish my husband would go for that but he said no way on earth he would do that. Honest to the core, starting to learn it's not always a good thing. :(;) My mind is mush, I can't even think straight, I would have never ever have thought that before. Shame on me!

And here we are another weekend sitting here with nothing to do but think of the same thing over and over again. I see the weekend as the dead zone. Have a great weekend everyone praying Monday brings great news for all of you who can still get good news.

Hi everyone.

My husband and I started the NVC process in December 2014. We unfortunately received a checklist because they "couldn't tell that my signature was original" (ugh) so now I have re-submitted our docs to the NVC and we are once again waiting. Apart from this being agonizing as you all know, my husband's lease is up at the end of April as we presumed we would be completely done by then and he would be in the US with me.

Suggestions? Ideas? I know we can request an expedite, but is there also a way for him to come to the US and continue waiting here? Or is that totally impossible?

Thanks for the ideas...

Hi there. Sorry about the stupid checklist. He can come visit and wait it out in the US with you (I guess he gets 90 days on the VWP?), but he 100% has to go back to Italy or whatever your embassy is for his medical and interview.

April was a little tight to begin with, NVC is taking around 5 months with no checklists nowadays. :( Good luck with that!

I wouldn't hold my breath there is a way unless the expedite goes through but I would suggest a Pension just rent a room until it's time for him to come to the USA? Is this possible, just wouldn't hold my breath these people will help you. Mind you they might but be prepared. Much luck and welcome to the thread. (F) (L) (F)

I don't know much about other countries so feel free to forgive me but I was just wondering.. when someone is denied why do some wait years and years to keep trying to get their spouse to America? I would simply pack up my bags and just resume my life in my husbands country. I was reading other threads how their away from their spouse from years because of AP or denial but I still cant wrap my head around why keep going with the process? when I was in Ethiopia I seen many different nationalities living there with no worries about moving back to America.. I pray nothing happens at my husbands interview but we already know that if we get a denial im moving to Ethiopia for good.. and please forgive me and I don't understand other countries but I just don't understand why keep going with the process?

This is one of the most absurd things I've read on VJ.

Well I'm invisible in the interviews thread (must be too much of a downer). What a lonely process this is. The problem being that only my husband really understands what I'm going through, and he is back in America.

I keep checking the status but I don't think it will change this week. This is the most unbelievable load of sh*t ever. I would be so much less angry if we had done something wrong, but this is THEIR error not ours. THey don't understand their own processes.

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.
