No I haven't. I leave tomorrow to spend some time with my fiancée and hopefully schedule an interview together. I thought I would have had the NOA2 hard copy by now

Hey I've been hearing good news from people here and I'm happy about it :)

So we got all 3numbers and our case is at NVC now.

Anybody whose case is already sent from NVC, how long it took since NVC received your case and sent it out from NVC?

We have a question. We've done everything based on the K1 step-by-step guide on Visa Journey, which never mentions anything about calling the NVC. I see a lot of a people call them, and get a case number ... but our question is, why? what for? is it necessary? I hope anyeone can help us.

Just in case, our NOA1 is August 27th 2014, NOA2 March 6th 2015, and case sent to NVC on March 17th, 2015.

If you are referring to this step-by-step guide, it is under #5 on the right hand side. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

It is not mandatory to call them, but it is a recommendation so that you know NVC has received it and know that they have mailed it out to the embassy, which you can then track to see when it arrives. Rather than being in the dark for 1.5 months until you get your P3, you can at least have some knowledge as to where and when things are going. If you're the kind of person who trusts the system and doesn't get anxious, you don't have to call. I am a totally OCD, anxiety-ridden, must-know-everything kind of person so I called for all the information and it really helped calm me down.
