I'm finally getting around to joining this thread (which I'm very grateful to be able to do after that seemingly endless wait at TSC!). We got our Noa2 on January 28, and our case was sent to NVC on February 2. I figured it would be a long shot, but I called NVC today and waited about a half an hour (listening to horrible music - do they play that in the hopes that people will hang up? teehee) to be told that my case hadn't been received yet. The woman told me that it can take 5 weeks for the case to be received, which I refuse to believe. I'll call again next week.

Packet got sent from TSC to NVC yesterday.

How long are people finding it takes to get new case number from them?

For us it was 13 days from the USCIS text alert saying it was sent.

Yes I got the following alert last night:

Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On February 5, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number SRCxxxxxxx, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We have the same NOA2 date I hope mine is sent today. I wish us all the very best.
