Does someone know why texas service center is being so slow

Texas service center is definitely the slowest service center. The service centers do what they want and they don't care if file is out of normal processing. Contact your senator and get them to inquire every week. Send emails to the directors of the service centers. Make some noise. I don't know if that helps. I tried everything and our file still took 11 months and 6 days.

This is flat out wrong. You should call back and demand to speak to someone who will make an inquiry for you, because USCIS' published processing times say 5 months for CSC. That means they are not behind and most definitely not working on July 16th. See here:

http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?bc=8767|6740|51083

The way petitions are distributed among service centers is different for I-129Fs than for I-130s, so you can't really compare the two.

My Senator even contacted them two weeks ago. All they told them was they will do a service request but they can't give an exact date of processing times and CSC is behind. Basically they'll get to it when they get to it, there is nothing I can do about it.

I'm not sure but I feel all of your pain considering I've resigned myself to purgatory .. until the expedite kicked in and i escaped TSC

what's disconcerting and I have watched the trends (go to VJ's Timelines right now and go to TRENDS) and you'll see TSC's Days until NOA2 Approval creep up to 100, over 100, to 200 now..

and this is without factoring in the holidays/etc..

I wouldn't be surprised if TSC reached a 300 day waiting period which is pure torture

something is completely wrong with such a disparity between CSC and TSC, imho

in layman's terms.. makes you wonder ####### is going on at TSC

Several folks on this site have noted similar comments coming back and then magically the petition is processed the next week.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

My fiance is a Canadian citizen and will be coming to the U.S. (Florida). Hopefully will be submitting our paperwork by the end of next week for our K1 Visa (appointment with immigration lawyer on Monday). After doing all this research and reading everyone's personal experience, I can honestly say I am terrified of the wait process! FL uses the TSC and all I am hearing is horrible stories of crazy wait times from their center. We realize this process wasn't going to be easy, and our goal was to have a December 2015 wedding, giving us 7 months. But now I am not even sure that would be possible!! I feel for all of you who have been waiting extra long to just be with your loved ones. It is so crushing. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the wait time and not get discouraged? I guess I just have to keep my fingers crossed for a speedy process.. #myheartisincanada

Don't be concerned. All new incoming applications are being sent to CSC, regardless of the state for a to be determined amount of time.

You should expect to be processed fairly fast. So if anything I have nothing but encouragement to offer for you :)

I have been waiting since end of December this is brutal my phone bills are astronomical but thanks to Skype we see each other every day. I was flying down to see her every 6 weeks but had to stop cause I couldn't keep doing that for 6 more months. Looks like it would be a lot quicker to re-apply and have it go through CSC now. Based on current timelines mine should be processed in early August. AARRGHH!!!

We actually got sent to Nebraska pocessing center a week ago. Crossing fingers they aren't as slow as Texas! I guess it really doesn't matter what state you live in anymore, they just route you to a center they seem fit?

My fiance lives in MA and our application (K1) was also sent to TSC :( (the night I got the news I was crying until I was close to a mental breakdown..) We had been hoping for Vermont since that's where we thought K1s from MA would go (I also believe they are assigned randomly now). We received the NOA1 on Feb. 12th this year. Yesterday my fiance called them and he was told that our file would be processed by them "in 4 months or so" <_<

Originally we had hoped to get married in late summer or early fall and have a nice BBQ with all the family. Now we can consider ourselves lucky if it will happen this year at all. We are seriously considering to just sign the papers when we get married and have our celebration *next* summer

The worst thing is not being able to see each other all those months. My fiance's vacation days are almost used up and I can't enter the US while my file is pending (that's a risk I don't want to take since it could make all the months spent waiting wasted). It really helps reading this forum and realizing that one is not alone with this suffering :)

K1 timeline:
I-129F sent: 02/06/2015
NOA-1: 02/12/2015
broke up: 07/09/2015 waiting for application to be canceled...

You can travel during the K1 process. Not sure who told you that you can't.

There's a stickied thread somewhere here talking about yes, you can travel during the K1 process.

Just make sure you bring proof/evidence of ties to your home country. i.e.: work employment detailing your short trip and how you'll be back at work when the trip is over, bills, travel insurance detailing the dates of your specific travel, NOA1 letter, etc.

My fiancée came to visit me earlier this year and they asked her a couple of questions at immigration. But they didn't ask for evidence.

But better to be safe and bring pieces of evidence showing your ties to your home country.
