Thanks I called them and they said the same thing. I have not considered this and don't know it if would help. But a friend said if you called your State Representative they may could speed things up. Also I called and I am sure it is posted here but they said Texas was working on June's forms.

You are welcome to try, but state representatives are unlikely to help until you are significantly outside of normal processing times - which you won't be for another 6-7 months - at least. Regular processing is supposed to be 5 months anyway.

From what I read you basically send your papers in and then wait like 6 months to hear anything next right? I called in and asked what to do since I did not get anything by mail. They said they were sending me the same info I got through email or text.

Did you get your NOA-1 hard copy in the mail? Thats the only thing they send.

And 6 months? Please, that would be great. We are looking at 7 months right now - more than likely more by the time they get round to our petitions.

NOA-1 Is that form saying they received my K1 visa info? I received an Email and Text message with my receipt number. I did not receive anything in the mail a hardcopy yet but I did get my receipt number through email and text.

Today marks 50d for us waiting in the TSC queue. Hopefully we have now done at least 25% of our USCIS mandated jail time and processing won't slow down any further.

So, 1 month since NOA-1 today. Can only get better, right? :dancing:

At least I have a trip to see my fiance stateside in March lined up. Then he is coming over in May and after that we shall see. May will be 4.5months from NOA-1, so hopefully we'll be in the homeward stretch (I wish!).

That's so awesome that you two can travel and see each other again. :D I just came back from visiting my fiance in Italy. Now that we know that we have to wait a while until the NOA2 we want to see each other again soon - probably in late April/beginning May. I would rather have him come here so I won't have to take off many days from work and save those vacation days for when the wedding date approaches... but. I have my doubts on whether he can travel to the US while we wait for the NOA2 or not... I've seen other opinions/comments and I don't know if he should or not, (not sure how it would affect this process or not), or maybe it's just better for me to go back to Italy and visit.

I would prefer to keep calm and be patient and not spend the money on an airplane ticket.... but I'm starting to hate the long distance :content::content: the cost of love. lol :wub:

I will travel to the USA 2 weeks from now. I am hoping for a reasonable easy time at immigration - but I will come with some evidence (letter from employer, paystubs, NOA-1) that shows I intend to return to Germany after my 7d visit is up. The majority of people have no issues - but you never know who you get at the border.

I will be going there over Easter. Are your pay stubs German or English? Because everything I have is my "Lohnzettel" in German and I am not quite sure what to do about it. Other than take an Eglish language letter from my employer stating I work for them, am off for the duration of the trip and expected to return. Trying not to freak out about this trip, but sometimes I am stressing about it anyways ;-)

I am going to join this forum since I am a December filer. I'm looking at a late June, early July approval according to all the comments I have read on this forum and my estimated timeline. It sucks to wait months to move forward and for me it's very difficult because I plan on having my wedding within the 90 day period. I can't believe it is going to take almost a year to get this visa process done though. I researched what was best to do and all these sites claim fiancé visa is quickest and for Canadians the average timeline was 2-7 months from start to finish - but it doesn't look like that is true at all. Almost coming up to 3 month mark and haven't heard anything yet.. BRUTAL.

Mena: I work for a big German company that is very international - so everything is available in Englisch as well as German. The one German thing I will be taking is my appartment lease - just as a backup.

My girlfriend is from Germany all you need is your passport and say you are coming here to visit a friend. She has visited me atleast 6 times and she never need anything you say you are bringing to prove something. Although it can not hurt.

Mena: I work for a big German company that is very international - so everything is available in Englisch as well as German. The one German thing I will be taking is my appartment lease - just as a backup.

I see! That is so handy!

I work for a small regional company where I am the only English speaker. Oh well, I will just type everything up myself and get them to print it on company paper before signing it lol
