just to warn any of the uk/english filers if you need copies of birth certificates to apply for them asap

i filed for mine at the beginning of march and after speaking to someone today I'm not to expect them until the end of april so they're taking 2 months to process.

so obviously i don't want you guys to be waiting on something stupid like that after you all do get approvals!

i seriously don't get how every important file based job seems to be so extraordinarily behind... :protest:

When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

Thank you for this thread! While its lovely to see all CSC people getting approved, its a bit annoying to know we'll be waiting for our NOA2 around April-May unless some miracle happens! -1 month dow

Took 3 weeks in the end for me to get mine though that was a couple of months ago. There is a priority service if needed urgent, though 23 quid.

May 22nd 2015 - NOA 2 - no RFE!

June 4th 2015 - Case Sent to NVC

June 16th 2015 - Phoned NVC and finally got case number (tried 12th June and had not been assigned)

September 24th 2015 - Biometrics completed

Just to expand on that, the I think the above only applies to birth certificates in England. In Scotland you can go into any Council Registry office with the details and it costs £15 to get a birth, death or marriage certificate. If they aren't swamped, you can get it while you wait, but usually even if it's posted, it should arrive within a few days. You don't have to go to the county where you/the child was born or married. Hope this helps any Scottish filers.

  • As of November 3, 2016 We received an email in regards to not receiving in the mail the Request for Evidence (RFE) , come to find out they really didn't need any additional information. So now the have to wait another 120 more days before we can get an interview or approval. This is some BS.
  • As of February 7, 2017, We received in the mail Interview Date for AOS on March 20, 2017
