Hi,

My petition got approved Oct 29. And I got the notice for Nov 10. Now what is supposed to happen? I have to wait for NVC o send me a notice about the interview right? Or was I supposed to do something else while I wait? It said the processing time is 2-4 weeks.

What exactly does the NVC do? What should I do?

Call NVC to see if they've received your case yet. If they have, they can give you your case number so you can track the application to the embassy. If they haven't, you can find all kinds of info on this thread:

When I called today I was told it takes at least 35 days for them to receive approved petitions and not to phone back until after then. So it seems their typical processing times are longer this close to Christmas!

However, we are still planning on phoning roughly once a week as it doesn't do any harm, but if you're happy to wait you will be contacted once you have your case number and your petition has been forwarded to the embassy :)

I posted on another forum, but I believe due to the quick approvals at CSC there is a backlog of approvals waiting to ship out and then another backlog at NVC to process CSC approvals hence the long wait CSC has now. On the other hand TSC which hardly has any approvals going out gets sent to NVC rather quickly and processed in the same fashion. In the mean time I would say keep calling and keep checking to see if they've received it. I'd also say just in case call CSC to find out where your petition is.. .

looks like we all are in the same both, we got our noa2 on 27 oct but uscis did not sent the petition to nvc right away, this is my last notification

"On December 2, 2014, we sent your case, Receipt Number SRC*************, to the Department of State for visa processing." On my noa2 it says that they already have sent the petition and we kept calling NVC almost every day, now we know for clear that our petition was never sent...... .
