aos + ead ?

hi guys. can i send in ONLY aos and ead? and no ap? and if yes, would it still be $1070?

if yes......how many photos would i need for the aos and ead only? would it be 3? everybody keeps on telling me it's 6 for the aos/ead/ap....

AP and EAD are free if filed with I-485, so even with AP or not, it is still $1070. I assume that your I-130 is already approved (or any other petition)...

For the pictures, answers varies, just to make sure, I put 2 for each applications so a total of 6. But the picture that they used for my EAD/AP combo is the one they took during biometrics. To save for the pics, my husband took my photo and used an online tool to resize it and for $1.00 I got 13 pics!

no, you need to send in the complete packet meaning all the forms required at the same time, or you'll get an RFE requesting the missing forms

You haven to send all the forms they ask for. Everytime you get a RFE they process gets paused

I remember with all my forms it was 6 pictures of beneficiary and 2 of petitioner.

I strongly recommend sending Ap (i-131) form as well. It doesn't cost anything and form is very easy to fill (you actually skip most of it). You never know if you'll have to/feel like travelling abroad and green card can take several months.

It is rather unclear if you do need to send 6 photos if sending ead and ap together with aos rather than 2 but to be on the safe side most send 6 (2 for each application). If you decide to send aos and ed only then its 4.

they will not get an RFE for a missing AP form, as it is not one of the required forms, merely optional.

that being said, it is a good idea to send it in anyway as it is free, and you never know whether you might end up needing it (after all, emergencies are by their nature unpredictable).

fees would still be $1070. if you really don't want to send in AP, then you'd need 4 photos (2 for AOS, 2 for EAD). i think you'd be much better off sending in the AP form though, for reasons listed above. just my two cents.

Not correct, they are optional and no RFE will be issued for optional forms.

Oh when I mentioned the RFE I meant if she didn't send the medical or affidavits of suport.

Advance parole is not necessary but since it's free its recommend in case of emergency.....

right....do you think it'd work if i went to like walmart and have just one passport photo taken and then take that to make 5 copies of it? one phot is 8 bucks and i cant afford getting all 6 or even 4 right now

Completely understand why you would want to do this, I went to Walgreens and 6 cost over 30 dollars... Really ridiculous but we couldn't back out.

I don't think photocopys will suffice, if you really can't afford it I suggest getting two done for AOS, scanning them onto a laptop and then uploading and ordering them from a printing website, which is what I would have done if I had used my brain at the time, was just so rushed to send it all.

That'll probably be the cheapest way.

They might let you save it and just print it at cvs for 20 cents and you can fit 4-6 photos for each normal size. Use this online tool if you have electronic photos: http://www.idphoto4you.com/
