Event Description
Review Date : March 24, 2014
Embassy Review : First I want to give thanks to ilovemyman, MrTee and all VJ members you were great and I know you'll help me continue my K-1 journey

I arrived at the embassy at 5:35am, my interview was at 6:45am. Get on the NIV/IV line it's the same line, the ACS line is for tourist visas. At 6:30am the line started to move, we had to show our interview letter to the worker, who stamped us with a ticket with the same number (148). before we went in another worker took our interview letter and gave us the bottom number(they both were the same #148)

Ladies where separated from the men until we passed security and got together. We got in at 7:20am. We sat down and waited for about 1 hour and 20 minutes and were called to window #20 to give her passport, form DS-160, acto de buena conducta, birth certificate, passport photos, banco popular receipts. He then told us go to window #14 and pay the $80 and bring him the receipt. We paid, we sat down for 30 minutes and we were called to window #19 because he forgot to ask for the form DS-156K. So make sure you give all those forms when you are first called.

This is were we waited the most. We waited for about 2 hours and a half to be called to window 15 for her fingerprints, it felt like forever. While waiting we kept seeing almost every approved person with their green ticket paying domex. We liked our chances. About 30 minutes later we were called to window 26 for our interview.

Before our interview, I knew we were approved because the CO was telling my fiancee her rights in the U.S about her having the right to have her passport, how she can call 911 for domestic violence etc.. The CO was a nice lady who was so happy and she kept saying yes to our answers like she wanted us to answer it correct. She was legitimate happy for us her mood was incredible.

Co asked me :
How did we meet ?
What I do for a living ?
What are her parents name ?
How I proposed ?

To her:
How many brothers and sister I have and their names
How many nephews I have?
Does she have family in the US
Have she been in the US ?

The CO than gave her the form DS-156K and told my fiancee to print my name on one line and to sign her name on the bottom. The CO then sign and said "senores visa approvada" I was happy and hugged my fiancee and thanked the CO officer many times. The CO said congrats and welcome to the USA and I wish both of you a lot happiness, now go pay domex. We got approved and she didn't even ask for NOTHING, no pictures or any evidence nor the affidavit.
Rating : Good

POE Review: JFK
Event Description
Entry Date : 2014-04-08
Embassy Review : It was easy. She arrived at JFK at 8:37pm. She was asked if this is her first time here(yes). They told her to get in the LPR line. She gave the officer the K-1 package, he took her fingerprints. He then took her to a room and typed the info on a computer and told her "Welcome to the USA". He was a nice young CBP officer, not the usual badmouth ones. He didn't ask her any questions and didn't even tell her the famous "you got to get marry in 90 days". No harassment at all.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
