Hi folks,

I have a question regarding the national visa center. So we have a case number that starts with FRN2014XXXXXX. we got also the IIN number. when I check the status online on the website I see the following. we have a lawyer in the states so I think we do not need the DS-261 form, right?

what does it mean in the attached pics? it says IV fees not paid and AOS fees N/A

can someone please help us :(

thanks a lot!

With what I see you need to contact the NVC ASAP. It looks like They are gong to close out your case. The fees have not been paid and they are terminating the case. The item in red tells the story you need to get with the NVC via the link there to get this fixed, You need to pay the fees. Talk with them about it and get a different lawyer.

Others more experienced will chime in but that is what I see.

No. That message means they are invoicing a fee like the AOS. Edited by NLR

admin it is not a duplicate, it is a link for the post. please be delicate with members who have really side-biting questions J

It doesn't matter if it's just a link. It is against forum rules to do so. Just post once about a topic and try to keep all your posts about a topic (NVC, AOS, USCIS etc) in the same spot so people don't have to look in many topics to understand what is going on in your case.

If you have a lawyer you do not need to do the DS-261, if that lawyer is attached to the case. Really it can take 30-60 days after getting the NVC number to pay the fees. Relax a little. I know it's hard.

the thread you started, which an organizer removed, was a duplicate. the organizer was correct in removing it as it had a link to this very thread.

making new topics to direct members to this thread is against the terms of service as it is considered spamming.

I'd always recommend reading Saylin's wiki to gain more knowledge about the NVC process.

Quote:

"Note: if you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time…" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-261 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced."

Don't sweat it. A friend of mine got the same message for two weeks after they submit the DS-261. They're in the process of invoicing your AOS for sure. That's a good sign.

Hi both my AOS fee and AOS doc. and financial evidence are N/A, but my IV fee is paid, IV application is completed and civil documents is N/A. In AOS do we need to pay again?

No that normally means and you have a case complete when the AOS fee says N/A after everything is submitted. Call the NVC to confirm.

Are you interviewing in Frankfurt, Germany or Amman, Jordan?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.
