I'm posting this here...really freaking out and need your guys' help!

Someone HELP!

We are filing on my husband (petitioners) assets alone. We received the so called 'checklist' regarding no meeting fanancial requirements here is the excerpt:

The NVC has received the information you have submitted in reference to
the Affidavit of Support. Please be advised that the Affidavit of Support
information you have provided does not appear to meet the minimum
income requirement according to the current poverty guidelines to sponsor
the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. The consular officer will make
a decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview. In
order to avoid delays, you may wish to submit an additional Affidavit of
Support (Form I-864) for a/another Joint Sponsor to the National Visa
Center to assist in sponsoring the intending immigrants. To view the
current poverty guidelines, visit
If you decide to use a Joint Sponsor to assist in sponsoring the intending
immigrants, please note that you the sponsor may not use Form I-864EZ
and will also need to submit Form I-864.
I remember reading someone getting the same email regarding them only submitting assets and I think someone confirmed that it was a CC and we need to bring the documents to the embassy *BUT* I need to confirm...
I'm trying to get through the NVC right now but was hoping fellow NVC'ers could help faster than I can get a rep on the phone to calm my down my anxiety.

It does say "The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview." I'd say it's CC. I did read somewhere that everyone using assets gets this email.

Congratulations!!! :dancing:

Well it would have been - I got the second e-mail. I am so doubting myself - thankfully we have a duplicate copy of the AOS (sitting at my husbands work at the moment) but they are stating I didn't check the military box.

I am so sunk at the moment. Can't write more - need to sleep and need to see this paper and what it says tomorrow.

Oh my god, CONGRATULATIONS SWEETHEART!!! I am soo soo happy and excited for you! :dancing::dance::dancing:

I felt like it was going to be your week. What a wonderful Christmas present (L)

I hope your case gets to leave nasty NVC ASAP and your hubby gets an interview assigned pretty fast :luv: I know the consulate in Egypt is a bit picky about that, but one can still hope, right? Have a fantastic day and enjoy every bit of it! I hope those sleepless nights belong to the past now.

It might be a CC.. Your spouse not making sufficient income so you are trying to use assets (bank balance) to meet requirements.. is it? .. if yes.. I recommend you to bring I-864 from joint sponsor to the interview..

I really feel for you.
