Im thinking of doing the same thing. Of course we can't base our letters on our dates being past due but I see no reason why we can't write to highlight the injustice of the current processing procedures and ask for help making the system better and more fair. I'm also quite worried about how the new DACA petitions will affect us all. Check this out to see how they affected I-129fs at CSC last time around. Not sure what the effect was at TSC then but if it happened at CSC it could happen to us too.

I also want to urge my congressman not to support a government shut down. That won't help us. I think we might be in a lose-lose situation here.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/421247-i-129f-delay-at-the-csc-a-comprehensive-analysis-of-the-data/

Yeah. If it's already bad, it's only going to get worse with the new changes. It really is an injustice and I'm seriously thinking of gathering all of my information and writing to my Congressman. What do I have to lose really? Wouldn't hurt ya know.

Great news! Congrats!

I sometimes wonder if it would be of any use to write to my Congressman asking for help with speeding this along on the basis that I do feel it unfair that others are getting quick turnarounds and that it's not my fault my case was routed to Texas. They seriously need to get their ### in gear. My guy and I have a 14 month old son and have been living apart since June 2013. Due to outside forces, we weren't able to file for a K-1 visa till just this October.

Thankfully he has been able to spend 2 week vacations with us and we visited him once but it seriously sucks. Always when he has come to visit, they stamp his visa for 6 months. I'm curious as to how much time they will give him (if all goes well) when he comes in a few weeks. We want to be a family already and have him share in the experience of watching our son grow.

Thank you!

Ugh, that's terrible. I'm so sorry! At least you guys are somewhat in close proximity (Texas & Mexico), right? So it's not dropping a ton of money for each visit? You'd think that they would hurry up instead of keep a father away from his baby!

Let me know if you guys write something & what you're writing. Maybe if we all send them enough letters, something will happen. It's unlikely, though... some of those workers are pretty lazy...

Maybe. (I'm the beneficiary, so don't quote me since I'm not an american) but I was looking at ways to speed this a long since the wait time to NoA2 is horrendous. I did look at the congressman thing but it stated that while he can touch base with USCIS and find out information more easily he can't speed it up. IDK strength in numbers though so I guess if a lot tried something would be done.

Idk what really is the hold up though, how long can entering some stuff into a database and running a background check take...though I guess I'm oversimplifying it since IDK all the details of what exactly they do to approve it.

Doubtful. They have too many applications. But you can call them after "normal processing time" has passed to get on their case about it, hahaha.

And seriously- it's because some workers are just lazy. They're backed up and are JUST getting to July. Someone mentioned that it takes 15 min to go over a case. They enjoy taking their time. My mom worked for a couple of government workerse before... she said that some are so picky and won't even touch a case that's "not theirs" or won't give up a case that IS theirs, which I'm sure then takes forever because they keep piling the cases.

I posted somewhere about USCIS being like a kid unwilling to share the food that he won't eat or his toys that he never plays with simply because they're "his". USCIS should be transferring some of our files (and they apparently transferred some back in May when they were backlogged), but they aren't! I'm assuming at the 5 month mark we can start calling and getting on them about our cases.

Yeah. You would think that it would help speed up the process but no such luck. We are fortunate in the sense that a plane ride to and from Mexico isn't so expensive so we at least have that.

I'll be sure to post something here. I am leaning towards sending out something because it truly is ridiculous.

Guys, if you all haven't been to the June TSC thread, pop on over there. A user names Josh 1987 is running some advanced statistics on what is being approved, RFE'ed, and how long the approvals are taking. Really interesting stuff.

SO disappointing. BUT I've seen a lot of June people (and a few July people) get their NOA2. I feel like some must be out of order because I've seen July people get their NOA2s and that seems to be their 'new' processing time.

PS.. Where's that thread? And at this point June filers are at 180 days, which seems to be the max amount of time they typically take to get cases transferred at this point, as someone had mentioned in their stats before. So it would make sense for them to be in June/July petitions.

NOVEMBER Processing (non-Philippines)

NOA1 to NOA2 waiting times for Texas Processing Center

** If you have a Philippines case or were initially processed in California, your expected waiting time is much less)

Of the past 79 VJ cases that received NOA2

* 50% received within 90 Days!

* The majority of the remaining cases were processed at month 5 and 6.

What this means for October filers, is that perhaps 10% more will receive NOA2 this month.

The remaining may need to wait until March or April.

Some good news for those that wait longer... their time to interview is a little quicker than those that had receive NOA2 quickly.

Also, NOA2 processing speeds have improved recently. A few months ago about 6,000 cases were transfered from Texas to California (see https://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=2&charttype=1). California processed these very quickly and is back to normal operation. We can hope that another batch gets sent from Texas to California.

Data of the most recent 79 cases, excluding one case that took an unusually long time.) You can see that there is a strong effort to finish processing that have waited over 5 months.
