The IO told my fiance if we hadn't called our case would have never made it to NVC, so everyone can zip it about patience and eight weeks.

The IO told my fiance if we hadn't called our case would have never made it to NVC, so everyone can zip it about patience and eight weeks.

And most IO's would tell you to wait the 8 weeks, because it's still in "normal processing times".

No need for a hostile or rude tone.

Except he didn't and immediately saw something awry with our case, getting sent to Washington State, not NVC.

I thought that was made clear in the first post. Apparently not.

You got a good one, most won't even look at it well enough to see that unless you're past that mark. You're lucky enough that they listened.

My fiance calls and ends up in an 80-minute wait to speak to a Tier 2 officer. He just got through and was told that our paperwork was transferred to the Department of State. It is likely sitting on someone's desk in Spokane or Seattle.

Except he didn't and immediately saw something awry with our case, getting sent to Washington State, not NVC.

I thought that was made clear in the first post. Apparently not.

It wasn't clear. Did the tier-2 rep actually said the file was sent to "Washington State"? Or did he just say it was sent to DOS? As others have pointed out NVC is part of DOS. So it's not clear from your post where the idea of Spokane or Seattle got thrown in. What possible relevant DOS office is in Washington? There are USCIS offices in Spokane and Seattle, sure, but DOS? I dunno.

I'm the USC petitioner.

We waited 8 weeks after NOA2 to finally have NVC receive and process our case(from California SC), but once the finally said they received it, they processed it and sent to Sydney the day after. I have no idea what the delays were, I'm guessing our papers were sitting on a desk somewhere. In all of our K1 process this bit was the longest for us. Everything else was pretty fast

went through something like that, shouldn't be a big deal, the k-1 process can be frustrating. You will get information soon. They just move at their own pace. We actually had an interview date before we had the paperwork or case number. Keep checking online to see where the k-1 status is at.
