Yeahhhh it's so weird how they can not make the workload more even. I'm a June filer still waiting so part of me gets kinda frustrated with USCIS when I see people in California getting approved so quickly!

I don't blame you I would be soooooo pissed hahaha!!

If one is one month and one it 5 months you'd think they could even it out a bit more to 3months each. They was delays I believe because of all the border issue over the summer but they got more people to deal with that I think.

Still though seems ridiculous if it was a business it would be bankrupt with that kind of service lol!!!

Fingers crossed you get yours soon!!!!

Yeah I think the summer border thing was a big problem tor TSC. But they transferred a lot of April/May cases to CSC and I thought that would help even things out but it didn't make that much of a difference. Maybe they could have transferred more. I actually called USCIS to ask can they send my case to California lol that didnt work :P but yeah I am hoping they will work their way to June in the next couple weeks or so! And hopefully they can get some more approvals sent out!

Yeah I was over there during the summer and it was insane, so much on the news, I know its a constant issue they have but by there own admission this summer was particularly bad and they were struggling.

I saw they transfer loads but clearly if your at a point where you can approve people in 20-40days you don't have enough work hahaha!!

Lmao I giggled at you calling USCIS that is funny shame they didn't congratulate your braveness with a transfer lol! Your so close though now only a few weeks left in your estimate! Fingers and eyes crossed :P

just noticed you/Beneficiary is Ireland too :) followed your timeline, even though your TSC seems like your almost at NOA2 stage too :) :)

best of luck and fingers crossed :) :) :)

Yeah - It really feels like forever since we started this process thinking K-1 would be in hand in 5 months. Now it's the realization that we should feel blessed to have the I129F approval in 5 months - When we look at others who are just receiving approvals from March submission, we do feel thankful. It could always be worse.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Congrats!

Aside from reading the guides and preparing yourself for the interview I recommend the following:

  1. Mail your fiance(e) any original documents he or she may need at the interview.
    • Birth/Death Certificates
    • Divorce Decrees
    • Tax Returns
    • Letters from Employers/Banks
    • Photos of you together they don't have in Ireland.
    • Affidavit of Support with ORIGINAL SIGNATURE
    • Updated Letter of Intent with ORIGINAL SIGNATURE
  2. Have your fiance(e) get their birth certificate, police certificate, and medical appointment asap. The sooner that's booked, the sooner the embassy will see you. If the embassy requires any other official paperwork (biometrics, dna, etc) get that booked too.
  3. Celebrate!
  4. Prepare for the interview, look up commonly asked interview questions, go over your facts, for things you two may not be on the same page about (dates are always a hard thing for guys).
  5. Start preparing for his or her arrival in the US purchase the things he or she will need, look into wedding plan options, honeymoon options, etc. Lots to do!
  6. Celebrate some more!

Coming from Ireland?! You'll have your visa within a month, once the embassy has it, IF you have your ducks in a row and have all your required documents together. Dublin is very fast and efficient. I would: Book a medical for about 4 weeks away, get any and all Police certificates you need from every country you've lived for more than six months since age 16, make sure you have an original birth certificate from the govt (They took my husband's at his interview), and get your papers from your American fiance. My husband got his packet 3 about a week after the embassy had it. Once he turned it in, he received a letter (packet 4) giving him an interview date. This date was less than a week away from receiving the letter! Read up on the embassy info page here on VJ and also the interview reviews. They were invaluable to us, and once we went through the process, we updated the info.

One final note: it'll say you need to mail in a copy of your whole DS160. You don't. Just the first page. Good luck! :D

I'm thinking this may not be possible as there is an apparent NVC backup that based on the experience of others and what the NVC is saying (60 days to review any last doc sent) it can currently take up to 5 months from USCIS approval to embassy interview. Of course thinking the OP has some true magic in getting the USCIS approval in the blink of an eye! Miracles can happen! Congrats

Pretty much everything I wrote was after it leaves nvc. Dublin is a very fast embassy, once they have it.

I am starting to think it a strategy to speed up the process would be to establish a dummy domicle in California so that one's K1 petition can be processed there as opposed to the TSC.

Congrats.

Lol IKR!!! As happy as I am, me being me feels super guilty and sad for all those going through TSC! The difference between the centres is ridiculous how can people be waiting for 5+ months when people are being approved in a few weeks! Makes absolutely no sense!

Agreed. Sorry to everybody with the long wait times. Inspired by OP I checked our status and we were approved on Oct. 16th as well. 20 days from when it was signed for in Lewisville and 14 days after NOA1. I'm shocked! Congratulations OP and thank you! Time to celebrate!!!

A big Congratz!

But, I must say, why is their so much difference in TSC and CSE???

IT IS JUST NOT FAIR! Govt. please shift the case load, help these poor people, in the TSC system.,.,.,.,,.this is like VSC was when we went through.,.,.,.,.186 days.,.,.,.,but at NVC for about 2 days.,,..,guess we should be thankful, as NVC seems to be a major headache now.,.,.

Nice to see good things happen to good people!
