Hi everyone,

The tears have finally stopped falling, I have spoken and screamed at my husband in frustration and have now settled down. Am drinking a Coke Zero and will regale my horrific morning.

Dropped children to school, rushed back to call NVC and hopefully hear some good news.

Spoke to an operator and finally they put me through to a Supervisor - Ike. He was OK but there is nothing he can do.

My Singapore Police Certificate was scanned in on 29th August. I emailed NVC back in early August to see if I might take the Certificate to the Interview. I didn't hear back from them and so Andy and I decided we would Fed Ex it to NVC and get the clock ticking. They emailed me back on September 17th to say that my email had insufficient information. I had left off Andy's birth date. They then wrote to me on 24th September saying they received my documents of the 17th September which was, in fact, their email to me.

Turns out my last scan date is NOT August 29th but now September 17th. They opened up my file a few days ago but didn't look at the Police Certificate because they saw that there is another piece of mail waiting to be reviewed from September 17th even though it was their own email. Really!!!!!

I cried on the phone - it did not good. He went really quiet for a long period and I had to ask him if he was still there. There is NOTHING they will/can do. I just have to wait until they get to September 17th scan date.

Any idea anymore where they are up to. In reality it is only a couple of weeks away but looks like we will miss the December interview and home for Christmas.

I am dreading telling the children this afternoon that they won't be back with Dad for Christmas. I am SO sad for them.

I will be around a while longer. Looks like we are 'scan buddies' samreen although I think (and will be happy) you will get yours before me although I should only be a few days behind you.

If I get a January interview I will email the Sydney Consulate and see if they can bring it forward. That is the best I can hope for at this point.

Am numb - don't know what to say.

Love to you all.

Xxx

Oh NOOOOOO!! I was just getting online before bed to check for your CC. Total #######. I am so sorry they're doing this to you. I totally agree you should call back and try to get someone to help you. The EMAIL THEY SENT YOU! So ridiculous.

So sorry.

Saylin,

Thanks for the prompt response. I'll just give them another call. I would just like to finish my medical especially my vaccines because i do not have any record. I am afraid i will be needing vaccines that needs to be given as a series (several weeks after the initial dose) so it will not cause more delays on my end. Thanks!

Msc,

Sorry to hear that! Keep your head up high! Remember, what doesn't kill you will make you stronger! God bless us all!

To those with cc,

Congratulations! Less job for nvc means more tine to review other cases!

I recall reading on the Centre for Disease Control website that for immigration purposes, one dose of the particular vaccine will suffice for immigration purposes, and then it is up to you to continue to get the remaining injections of that vaccine post-medical. I am pretty certain I read that somewhere.

Hello everyone, I just checked ceac and AOS had changed to N/A. I called NVC and our case is complete.

Our last scan date was September 2nd. Thank you everyone for all your help. We're hopeful that we will be together by Christmas break.

I was part of the old NVC process. I hope their new procedure speeds up the process for everyone else so you don't have to deal with multiple 60 day waits. Best wishes.

Hello Mangool,

First congratulations on your CC!

Was Sept 2nd your AOS or IV scan date?

thanks in advance for your response

The bigo,

I think i read that also but in my understanding is that the remaining shots to be given in the US is mandatory and not only as individual choice. So if that is the case, i would rather complete it here so i do not have to pay more as compared to the price in the US, i think.

I'll search for it again. Thanks bigo!

Hi everyone, first time posting on this fast moving NVC thread! We ended up in an unfortunate situation where our AOS was sent and scanned after the IV packet was scanned. Hoping for some luck that they look at all the documents on the earlier IV date of Sept 19 and not the last scan date of the AOS on 2 Oct.

But preparing myself for the longer wait period, this is the worst bureaucratic process I have ever been in and we have not had one break in this never-ending process!!

Thank you everybody for your kind words today.

The children are OK which is the main thing. I know that some of you have suggested calling back and trying to speak to another supervisor but, honestly I am just so washed out with it. I am going to sit tight and just wait a couple of weeks for the CC. I cannot stand to hear that they can't do anything again and I don't want to aggravate them anymore. Heaven knows they might put my last phone call down as a scanned piece of mail!!!!

This May be a silly question, but how do you know what your scan date is? Is that when they receive your documents and email you confirmation, or will I get another email that the information has been scanned in?

msc if I had an interview date and could swap with you I would :( that's so sad the kids won't be with their dad over Christmas. My husband and I are spending our last Christmas here with his family, then intend to move in January or February at the latest.

Hey everybody, just checking back to say hi and see how you all doing. I got my CC last month, September 30 and interview in 10 days. I could get through NVC in three months, one month less because we had a lawyer and from others' experiences here I could avoid the dreaded checklists. The process had changed for those who got to NVC after me and I hope people are now getting done with NVC faster. Still, the process is not without flaws and I see MSC still caught up because of a mail NVC sent, just ridiculous! To all those still waiting and particularly those who have had checklists sending you good vibes and things do speed up after NVC, so keep your spirits up.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

Okay so just got off the phone with a lovely lady (I do have an advantage of calling first thing in the morning...before they get drained of their happiness!) -- She said that they were in house on the 23rd of October and scanned into their system on the 24th of October. She said that usually it goes by the date that they are scanned in (plus or minus a day) so I should actually be calculating the 23rd. Either way 23rd or 24th...just kinda glad I'm not calculating the 27th which is when the e-mail was received.

Thanks for the information! Yeah, my emails just stated the date they received the documents and then told me about the 60 day wait. Let us know if you get any confirmation over the phone about which one is really the scan date, haha.

I also did that calculation for fun but think it's way too good to be true. :) Given how interviews are scheduled, though, I'll take anything before Christmas (which should be exactly 60 days). Then with any luck I'll be assigned a February interview and I'll try my best with the Buenos Aires embassy to change it to an earlier one so I can spend my anniversary with my wife.

I'm so sorry to hear about this - It's terrible when fellow members have to go through this - I hope you stay strong for your family and once it's all over you can breath a sigh of relief...just very hard when you are trying to see an end to this madness and know you have a bit to go. We are here for you as a support function (even if we are lands apart!) (L)

We are here for you as a support function (even if we are lands apart!) (L)

Sorry to hear about, cheer up,all things wud work together for your own good. Its gonna work out. Try speaking with another supervisor, they seem to hv different versions to the story
