Hi! I had the same issue...I reported what I made living in Japan and they wanted the specific number from Box 22 on my 1040...which was 0 for one year and $-13. for another year. Silly if you ask me! Income earned in another country should certainly count but whatever. An on top of that they have my taxes in from of them so an addendum made electronically would have made better sense here for me but they needed me to fill out the form again and re-mail it. What a process, right! OK, rant over;)

So, i reported exactly what was in those boxes. If the sponsor doesn't work in the states I assume you will have to go by assets or get a co-sponsor. For us, we are going by assets. I just got a job last week but we sent all of our stuff off before that happened so we are hoping for the best.

Glad to be on this forum. My hubby paid the AoS Invoice yesterday, and I'm now gathering my documents for the IV package. I was hoping we could have sent both together, but that may not be possible so we're now on the chase to get my documents to him before the IV invoice is posted.

April 7, 2014: Packaged received by USCIS

April 8, 2014: Received NOA 1

Sept. 17, 2014: Received NOA 2. Case APPROVED with no RFEs

Oct. 17, 2014: Case # Assigned by NVC (Same day case was received, according to Julian # calculation)

Oct. 21, 2014: Received letter from NVC

Oct. 22, 2014: DS-261 completed and submitted to NVC

Oct. 31, 2014: Paid AOS invoice


Dec 08, 2014: Sent in IV & AoS packages

Dec 11, 2014: Package received by NVC

Dec 12, 2014: Received email from NVC acknowledging receipt. I assume this is our scan date

Dec 25, 2014: Paid IV bill

Dec 29, 2014: Funds deducted from bank account. DS-260 became available, and was completed

Dec 30, 2014: Submitted DS-260

Feb. 12, 2015: Case Complete with NO checklist! whoot, whoot!

Mar. 25, 2015: Received P4. Interview

April 29,2015: Completed medical examination

May 13, 2015: Interview Date APPROVED :dancing:

May 19, 2015: Received Package

Oct. 22, 2015: Travelled to my new home :) (In order to get IR-1 Green Card) Expiration date on IR-1/CR-1 Visa - Oct. 29, 2015

Nov 10, 2015: Received Social Security Card

Jan 4, 2016: LPR Green Card arrived.

I'm off to go create it right now! Sorry, when I got home from work yesterday, I didn't catch up on the afternoon's/evening's posts and then I watched a movie before going to bed. And as always folks, EVERYONE moves over to the new, current month (now being November). This isn't like the I-130 filer threads where you stay in the same thread each month. We're different and everyone moves each month. If you don't like it, too bad cause this thread will be locked :P:lol:

September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
