Haha I would have totally named dropped you had I remembered it came from one of your posts - honestly the amount of posts I read and re-read!

It is finally out of our hands and into the NVC. Don't look back now and let's get through this as quickly as possible - just promise you'll come celebrate on here when you get it (as you'll be a day ahead of me with scan date I believe!) -- of course after you celebrate it with your hubby!!

Whoot - get on here and come and lurk some more. Now it's only chatting time as all questions have (hopefully) been answered and we are done! I feel 10 times lighter now that the papers are gone. Keep checking here and I'll follow your time line and let's compare notes and hopefully we'll get through this quick...best of luck!!

Hey! Best of luck to you too. I added you as a friend and I'll follow your progress also. Yeah, I am a lurker here only cuz the thread races so fast and it's nuts trying to carry on an exchange. I get a zillion emails on threads I try to follow. Lol!

I had my attorney fixed it and send in the correct AOS and got the nvc notice with a scan date of 10/3 .... So did you get the notice for your checklist? what's your scan date for that? I'm in Cuba consulate..

Did not get yet but will get soon because it got there 20th oct so they say will take 3 to 4 days to get in there system. But hopeing that we get cc on or around nov 20

After almost one year at NVC and NOA1 date of Feb 2013 (yes Feb 2013) and a NOA 2 date of Nov 2013.

Case complete at NVC, checklist scan date August 27th. They said case complete came yesterday.

I will admit on this journey we probably caused about 4-5 months delay ourselves with just dragging our feet completing the paperwork thinking it was going to be a breeze at NVC (this was back when it was 3-4 weeks to check documents). But after two checklists this stage is finally done.

But now we wait for an interview. Feels good

Thanks to all

Is your scan date the same day they send the email? Bc I just got an enail saying they recvd my documents

How long does it normally take NVC to scan our packages into their system? My docs were delivered yesterday, 10/21 early in the morning and am wondering if I should expect an email today or tomorrow?

Thanks.. thanks

One more.. is DS-260 is all about the beneficiary/applicant?

It confused me Coz theres a question about petitioner like

1. "Q: is your spouse immigrating with you?

2."Q: is your spouse immigrating with you at the later date to join you?"

Is these for applicant question or for the petitioner?

Confused

if you are the beneficiary and your spouse is in USA (petitioner ) then put NO in both questions.

remember that this form ds260 is used for more visas than just CR1/IR1.. thus why some questions might not be applicable (read: confusing) in your situation :)

I assume all petitioners whos spouse is an US citizen and also petitioner would answer NO... am I correct? Because even my wife (she is petitioner and US citizen) is living with me currently abroad she cannot "immigrate back home" or can she? Those questions are also confusing for me, but it would make sence it the same form is being used also for different kind of visa than IR1/CR1.
