yesterday NVC send me an email that they had received a package for my case. Infact I had already submited the documents in October 3 (CIVIL) & On Sep 5 (AOS) . One of the VJ members told me it might be due to an email I had send in. I was relaxed after that . Today just to confirm I gave NVC a call they are telling that they have received mail for my case with the bar code sheet that has been scanned in but me/my wife have not send in any thing & now our 60 days wait begins from October 20 . Damn I am loosing all patience. I think I need to get some depression pills now . This is so horrible & a nightmare

Ur correct your wife is a us citizen so she is not immigrating.

I assume all petitioners whos spouse is an US citizen and also petitioner would answer NO... am I correct? Because even my wife (she is petitioner and US citizen) is living with me currently abroad she cannot "immigrate back home" or can she? Those questions are also confusing for me, but it would make sence it the same form is being used also for different kind of visa than IR1/CR1.

It doesn't mean that it will take 60 days... On 10/20 they scanned in the documents you send on 10/03 .. When did you submit DS-261 ?

If the 60 days are up for my AOS packet does that mean I'm not getting a checklist? I called NVC and they told me they reviewed my first set of documents and were waiting to review the IV packet. The end of November is my 60 days for the IV packet.

Thanks! So glad I'm done stalking the ceac website! Mine changed on the 17th, and my spouse called to confirm. They said it had just been reviewed, so my AOS must have changed pretty much immediately. But that may not be the case for everyone. Any day now!

Did you submit DS-260? Then send all civil documents ASAP… Since coming from Mexico (Volume of cases) it will be delayed…
