Please update us once you have paid the AOS, there should be a check-box to the right to the Pay Now link, check and see if there is check-box to the right of the Pay Now link for the IV Fee, if there is no check-box you don't have Access to make payment for the IV Fee.

What you have described is exactly what I saw once the DS-261 was review and completed.

I will do...I haven't paid anything yet as I didn't expect it to come so quickly, and yes that was exactly what I saw after after I submitted the DS-261.

Thanks. That is what I expect to happen and I can't see why it wouldn't happen.

Good luck everyone.

I seem to recall on the DS261 page I saw "pay now" for both fees but when I went to the fee payment link, only the AOS fee was available to pay.

I hope that isn't the case for you, but please let us know. Thanks friend!

Hi Robbie!! Good to see you here! Yes, we are keeping it positive for sure. It seems like the movement at NVC is a little more consistant, so maybe things will be a little quicker than we thought!

Cheers!!! :)

NLR do what you feel is right for your case. What ever i state here is exactly how my case is been processed. I only act on nvc instructions and recommendations given to me each time I call and it has been helpful. As I have said earlier, every case is diffirent. I recommend you call nvc on (603) 334-0700 and direct your questions to them, I'm sure you will get the best answers to your case as well as answers to the new system of documents submittion. Goodluck

Please read timelimes in the future. Thanks :)

It always has been. Takes up to 60 days for the ds-261 to be added to the case file and the IV bill to be invoiced.

In the end how and when you submit the packages, either as one before all the fees have been paid, as one after all the fees have been paid, or as individuals after each fee is paid, is up to each person and what they feel is best. I will talk with Saylin and see what she is recommending, we have and NVC process wiki as well.

ah, so even though it says "Pay Now" for both, likely it won't let me. Not surprised if it won't. We won't likely be ready to pay AOS until the weekend, and we will see what happens then. I am cautiously optimistic, but I am a realist too. I will post back here if anything new or weird happens, but as always, all cases are different. I am prepared to wait...

I took a look at the archive.org history of the NVC process and see that sometime in Feb they redid the page to change the payment so that all documentation should be sent together. This seems to confirm there is a technical error or process error going on at NVC now and it isn't a problem with them not reviewing the DS-261.

Here is my POV, it doesn't take 30 or 60 days to review a "Single Page Document - DS-261", I can understand an AOS package that's 50 or 60 pages.

I received the e-mail from NVC stating they received my paperwork (I had send AOS and IV packages together after the AOS showed as PAID) and that it will take the 60 days or so to review.

I'm still waiting for the IV Fee and DS260.

It shouldn't no, but currently that is the timeline they're giving. I honestly think that if you don't have the IV invoiced in 30 days to talk to a supervisor but I don't think the NVC will do it until 60 days.

NVC confirmed with me also that it is best to submit the AOS and IV civil documents as one file. Has anyone submitted their AOS and IV civil documents by email together? We are about to do that and are looking for guidance. It means one email with a large amount attachments. A bit unwieldly!

I am shocked and reporting that the IV Fee was opened up today along with an e-mail saying the DS261 has been accepted (submitted 9.19.14).

Is it normal for the IV Fee to be open 7 days after paying the AOS?

You will see above that I submitted both AOS and IV packages 9.23.14 and on 9.26.14 got an email stating they had been received at the NVC on 9.24.24.
