My husband received his green card on July 15. Almost 10 months after filing to the day.

Have people actually said this (that they want green card and not EAD) in the job seeking process? That's BS.

Yes he has been turned down for numerous jobs when they call him because he has the EAD. They always ask him if he has his green card or if he's a US citizen.

And then they say "I am sorry, we're looking to hire people who have their green cards or they're a US citizens. Good luck with your search!"

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

wow... I see that several people got their GC approval notice over the last two weeks! Congrats everyone :)

I just got mine yesterday. Thank god that the waiting is finally over.... :joy::goofy:

It took almost 9.5 months for us in total!

We are over 10 months waiting, and still nothing. They received the response to our RFE a week ago, so hoping soon to hear something.

This week most likely your online status will update. Several months ago I worried i might get RFE , so i asked an officer during the biometrics how soon they can react to a RFE reply. The officer told me they always tell people in 4 weeks. But actually usually in 2 weeks. So you are almost there:)

Got my green card last Monday... Thank God. :) so happy... <3

Sep- 20- 2014 - AOS sent to Chicago ( delivered sept 22 )

Sep -26- 2014 - USCIS texts/emails received with case number

Sep -30- 2014 - Hard copies of NOA-1 received in the mail

Oct -10- 2014 - Biometrics letter received (Appointment on Oct 24)

Oct -17- 2014 - RFE Letter (Request for Initial Evidence) :(

Oct -24- 2014 - Biometrics Done (4mins)

Oct -31- 2014 - Sent response to RFE (Priority Mail)

Got this by checking the status " On August 7, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXX. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by October 6, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."

I know this much that it is good news. Had a few questions and would appreciate the help/feedback

Q1. Would it actually take two months to get the green card? or this is the worst case scenario.

Q2. What is the true likely of us receiving the green card. It seems 3 weeks is the norm.

Q3. What do they mean when they state "Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by October 6, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.". - Do I have an action to complete a document form, that would support them to send the green card, I am not sure if I understand.

Feb 13th, 2015 - EAD card in production... waiting to get it in hand

Feb 20th, 2015 - EAD card produced and mailed... now should be waiting to get it in hand...expecting it in a day or so.

Feb 24th, 2015 - EAD Card in hand with new married name!!!

We got a paper document a week after the notice went out and then the actual card about 3 weeks later. It didn't really come with any instructions that I saw. That was my question too, what do we do next?

NOA 1 email 12-5-13

Alien Reg Number Assigned 12-17-13

NOA 2 text/email 4-23-14

Sent to NVC 5-6-14 Received 5-14-14

Biometrics appt: 10/6/14. We had 2 appts on dif days, but got both done at once and was in and out in 30min at the Nashville location.

EAD Notice: 11/25

EAD Received with wrong b-day 12/4 Contacted on Dec 13th to send it back and they will determine the next step about reissuing it.

EAD fixed by going to an infopass appt. The woman was able to fix it in the system and said don't waste the $ on a new EAD.

Potential Interview Waiver Received 3/2/15

Green Card in hand 7/29/15!!!

Hiii September AOS Team! :D I haven't been around here for months. Glad to see everybody got their GC sooner or later!

Does anyone know when we are supposed to start getting letters or news about ROC? or is it too early?

I haven't got any kind of letter or document about anything since my GC a year ago. ( I assume that's the normal)

I cant believe time has passed so fast. I hope everybody is doing great!

It all depends on what your GC lists as an expiration date then count back 90 days. My wife received her GC in March 2015, so we have late December 2016 circled as our ROC date. Don't rely on getting a reminder from the USCIS as from what I understand, this may or may not happen, and don't file too early either.

Glad to hear all the Sept. 2014 filers are getting to the end of this stage, and Good Luck with the next step!

Hi guys I have 19 months waiting for my I -824 approval in a local office, does anyone know what I have to do? I send many letters to Vermont , called customer service, This is killing me!!! I need some advice please!!!
