Hi everyone! We had our interview on April 13 in Boston, the IO was very very young. He first took my husband to his office and interviewed him for 10 minutes. He asked very basic questions and then he brought me in and asked some of those questions that he had asked my husband. It took 2-3 minutes. And then he said the decision will be mailed to us in 30-60 days. He didn't take my I94 or EAD card and he didn't stamp my passport. He didn't even ask for any additional documents but we gave him our very recent tax document filed jointly... What does this mean? I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience... That was very confusing and demoralizing.

We filed the petition and AOS on Oct 7 and our interview was on Apr 13. We didn't have any REF.

I think you will be fine! It sounds like all questions were standard procedure. Keep checking for status updates online, did you register for email/text updates?

For my interview (March 11) they also took our tax return, didn't ask for any additional documents, and said we would get a decision in 30 days. I found out we were approved about an hour after the interview was done, sometimes it just takes a bit longer. Good luck.

I can't recall it completely..I was too nervous, but we were there like 1.5 hours early and waited around an hour until we were called in.

First sworn in and then she asked for photo ID with our address on it. And there we were with our one big problem which made us hold our breath for a minute or two: my dear husband never got a new drivers license after moving two years ago. So his license had the state montana and a completely different address on it.

That was the one thing I had never checked, I was prepared for everything else.

The IO was pretty upset about this and said that he had to get one latest after 30 days and that we should be trying to proof that we are living at the same house, which is hard without an updated ID.

Luckily I had my boss, who is also our landlord, write an affidavit which said that she is our landlord and knows we are living together.

Phew.

Next questions were the usual like how we met,when we decided to marry, who attended our wedding and where it was and if we have some pictures to show.

And if I had some supporting material.

I handed here taxes filed married, phone bill, joined saving account, joined credit and best buy card and our car insurance and the affidavits I had written by boss and one friend.

She took a copy of a few pictures out of our wedding album and said we were approved.

I didn't receive any confirmation by email yet and realized that she didn't take my EAD/AP card?

Is that bad news??

We were approved on the spot and I still have my EAD/AP as well as my I-94 in my possession. We got our email confirmation a couple hours later.

Thank you..I just got the status update that the new card is in production...

Oh and the only other questions that there were, I remembered tonight, we're that she asked our parents names and birth dates...of course my hubby told her the wrong year I was born but obviously it was close enough )

And then she went thru the yes and no questions and explained removal of conditions..

The Interviewer was a young man in his thirties very courteous. Scheduled to begin at 12.15pm, it is around 12.45pm that the IO came out and called our names, we followed him in his office where the interview took less than ten minutes.

We were asked only 3 questions after going through our file. The 3 three questions were:

1. He asked How met

2. He asked me if besides my 2 children I have any other children any where in the world, I answered saying no other except the 12 week old baby we are pregnant with, he then smile and asked when was the due date we told him and he wrote it down...

3. He asked if we have any other documents we would like to add to our file, we gave our 2014 tax return and W2s, wedding pictures, utility bill, insurance policies, bank statements, Credit Cards, Foster Parents certification, rental agreement addendum with my name on it. We had more to give but he said it was enough and kept three of our wedding pictures.

Then he said: "You file has no red flags, I'm going to approve you today and you will receive your GC from now to 2 or 3 weeks...." He also explained the process of naturalization as well as the AOS of my son....

Less than 30 minutes after we left his office we received a message about the update on our case status saying: "Card/Document Production, On April 27, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

After about and hour, we received another message saying: "On April 27, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXX. Please follow the instructions in the notice"

It has been a very unique journey, thank all of you for sharing your experiences from which we learn so much...

We are now waiting for our Welcome letter and GC......

Well Im still waiting for my approval Its been 8 months since I sent my form and now Im stuck for 3 months in a local office, when I called customer service they just say my case is in process...OMG dont know for how long I will be in this situacion... This Is killing me!!!

Any people who had a waiver notice got the GC yet?

I've noticed more people have gotten notification of interview waivers since the new year, but I second this question:

Has anyone who received an interview waiver received their GC yet?

We're going on 8 months since applications and 4+ months since we received the interview waiver... 2-ish more to go. Hopefully not more.

We just got our potential interview waiver letter at the very end of April, although they originally mailed it to our former address in December. So at least it only feels like 2 months of waiting for us. We did change our address in October, got a letter IN THE MAIL at our new address acknowledging that they have our new address on file for this case, then they choose to send it to the wrong address anyway 2 months later. It took them 4 months to get the letter to our address that was supposed to be on file. Losing confidence in the system daily....we originally filed the AOS September 8th, so we are in the same boat with you, divikaki.
