I'm not sure it's really worth going for the trouble of titer testing, unless pregnancy is involved or expected as the MMR vaccine would be an issue.

Although yes, you can just have the vaccines done over again, if it were me, I'd rather take one titer test (so one shot) instead of taking a few shots. Although if the titer test comes back with no results, then it'd be a waste of a shot, sooo  Up to the OP though, was just giving one possible answer ;)

P.S. I do NOT like shots whatsoever. It may be teeny tiny to you, but it's a day full of anxiety and not feeling well for me :P

First off, turn the caps lock key off. All caps on forums = yelling. And no one likes to be yelled at

And did you mean she does NOT have shot records? If so, then I'd suggest getting an anti-bodies titer test done. They test the blood for anti-bodies for the required vaccines. You can then bring those results to the medical. But if some vaccines don't show up (which happens since it's likely been awhile since she's received the vaccines), then she'll need to get those vaccines again.

Thanks for the reply Saylin, was kinda worried since she doesn't have her shot records that i will mean more delays. but now im relieved...

No delays at all  A lot of people don't have shots and/or records, so in those cases, most people just get the vaccines done at the medical. If you know which shots you need, and if it's allowed by the panel physician, you might want to consider getting them done earlier at a clinic as they're typically cheaper than getting them done at a medical. But, this may vary by country, so.

NVC really picked up the pace this week! Thrilled to see you're getting the CC nod. I believe (and hope) you'll score an October interview date my friend.

I'm guessing you meant she does not have her vaccinations records. It's really no biggie. They're just a couple of itsy bitsy shots that at worst will make her arm tender for a few hours; Td and MMR. Just had them earlier this week myself as my records were lost decades ago. A flu shot as well if her medical is between October and March.

Yaa i meant she doesn't have shot records, so glad to see that not having records doesnt mean yet another impossible hoop to jump through, thanks for the info,

Ok, so you already paid. It's recommended to use Internet Explorer for government sites. Please use Internet Explorer for DS260 too.

I AM SURE SOMEONE HAS HAD THIS SCENARIO BEFORE, MY WIFE HAS TAKEN VACCINATION SHOTS ALL HER LIFE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY SHE DOES HAVE THE SHOT RECORDS, WHAT DOES SHE NEED TO DO, I KNOW ITS A LONG WAY TO GO BEFORE WE GET TO MEDICAL EXAM, BUT WANTED TO PUT THE QUESTION OUT THERE TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS CAME ACROSS THIS, AND HAS SOUND ADVICE ON HOW TO PROCEED

Will your wife be able to get her records re-issued by the local clinic, general practitioner, hospital? They keep vaccination journals and should be able to issue her shots records. It may take some digging in the journals, but it’s worth to ask your doctor about that. My mom, now 67 yrs old, has to do that to avoid additional testing and vaccines. Best of luck!

The good news is, as you grow older you'll leave most of your phobias behind. In my case,

fear of darkness... gone,

fear of needles... gone,

fear of flying... gone (flying 50,000-70,000 miles a year took care of that),

fear of the dentist... gone (9 gum surgeries in the span of two years took care of that)

fear of my wife's short fuse... pending.

I have question about AOS, Saylin maybe you can help me ?

How do we need to count my husband (petitioner) annual income to put in I-864 form , he is not working right now, but he is going to start a new job soon. So for example he is going to make 1000$ a week , do we count the annual income as 1000 x weeks that have left in 2014 (15 I believe )or we count it x 52 weeks ?

He has met the poverty guideline in 2013 and 2012, but not in 2011.

we can't add what he made already this year to what he is about to make , am I right?

Do we need a co-sponsor in that case?

Our AOS fee has turned to N/A! Last scan date was July 22nd for an AOS checklist (the lawyer either forgot to include my 2013 tax documents or NVC lost them).

I'm in the middle of the boonies in Scotland right now, with poor to zero internet and phone coverage, so I probably won't be able to call NVC until tomorrow night at the earliest. I'm relieved though I'm not sure we're in time for an October interview.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting on their case complete. It looks like NVC is back to working 1 scan day every business day! Everyone on this thread has been super helpful. Thank you all and a special shoutout to Saylin for her work on the NVC Wiki! If you're new on the thread, please take the time to read the whole thing. I only wish I had found this amazing site and thread before I hired an attorney!

Congratulations. I wish the same.
