Did you provide your email when u called to find out about your case?

I provided an email, yes. Regardless, they sent it to my husband's (petitioner) email address that was provided when we filed the I-130.

I was surprised to receive the email and was actually on hold to NVC when my husband got the email. Keep calling. I don't know about you but I currently hate the word 'momentarily'.

Good luck.

I submitted my AOS package on 7/22 and within a week they had "received" it. I now have all the documentation ready for my IV Package and would like to submit the package now to not cause any scanning delays later. Can someone tell me the process for which to submit the IV Package before the IV bill is invoiced.

I'd assume it goes to the same address, but what should be written after "ATTN: xxxxxx"? As well, because I haven't paid my IV bill yet, can I submit my cover sheet for the AOS in its place? If so, would I need to make any changes to the cover sheet?

Is there anything else I need to do to make this work?

Thanks for the all the help!

I called NVC today and they told me the IV package can be sent using the AOS barcode sheet.

So I just completed the DS-261 form. Is that it? That form was very simple. Took like a minute, was second guessing if what I was doing was correct! Lol

Btw will the IV fees be invoiced ~60 days after the DS-261 form is completed? (Reading the wiki I got out of it that it's 60 days from the DS-261 form)

Thanks!

I just sent out my AOS packet today. So does it mean I can send my IV packet now as well BEFORE the IV fee is invoiced?

I was under the impression that I should wait till the IV fees are invoiced before I sent out the IV packet.

I feel your pain. The longer I wait the more I stress about a 2nd checklist. I am on business day 37 and calendar day 58 with nothing changed on the website.... :clock: Hubby said last night if we get a 2nd checklist, we'll sell the house and he will move in with his mum, and the girls and I can go ahead of him.. I have a good job here, so I should just keep going, business as usual, but also keen to get over there and find a house, car, job and get my eldest daughter into school so she doesn't miss too much of the school year at a new school. I don't know what to do. I really don't want to split up the family, so I don't think I would leave without him

Has anyone reported going over the 60 days yet? I might be the first. I wonder if they will do anything if it does go over. Probably just tell me "AT LEAST 60 days and keep waiting"

After what we saw in the USCIS backlog last year I don't think any of us would put it past them

FWIW the timeline feature on VJ isn't great, it's worth filling out but a lot of the time points are mislabeled or irrelevant with the introduction of online forms. It's definitely confusing and usually needs a few looks to make sense.

EDIT: Just took a look at my timeline and realized the incorrect form numbers were removed! Progress ^_^

I do love the way the timeline helps me to keep things right in my brain!

Congratulations to all the recent CCs.

Can I ask a question about interview scheduling? I realise this is a long way off for me but I'm wondering, do you get quite a bit of notice for these interviews? Only that I live quite a long way away from Sydney so it will take a bit of organising for me to get there! I will, of course, make it happen, no matter what, but it'd be good to know I get a week or so's notice!

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.

Thanks! wow 60 days to review your basic personal information. Now I get people's frustration over the review of this document.

Insane.

Yea its because hundreds of thousands of people are submitting the DS-261 and they review it turn by turn, so that's why it takes long to get to each person's turn.

The process is very frustrating.

Superstar! Thanks heaps.

I was also wondering, this is probably a silly question and I don't know if I have missed it on Saylin's amazing NVC wiki, but if I am leaving my job in Australia to move to the USA I don't need to fill in a I-864A do I? The only income that will continue is some long-service leave that I'm getting paid for 19 weeks after we leave (isn't Australia great like that?!) but as it is temporary it's not a "continuing" income as such, it's just leave at the end of which I will resign.
