Saylin Good Evening.... pls help... We called again in NVC regarding our DS-261 and its accepted but need to wait more days and hubby asked if we can send our IV document using AOS barcode and he said we can do that.. Use the address on the barcode which is ATTN: CMR-AOS... do you think it will work? its address for AOS... and other NVC rep said if they will lose our document its not there fault cos IV still not invoice... I dont know what to do now... its our 38 business day today...

is this true? i read this one here also..

ATTN: CMR-AOS went with the AOS packet

ATTN: CMR was the IV Packet.

ATTN: DR was the checklist items

Thank you......

Timeline

Assuming the June 17th "60 days" scan date is complete tosh since NVC insist our DS-261 scan date is June 2nd, today is our 45th business day of waiting for the IV invoice. No response from congresswoman and my husband is hesitant to contact his senators because he's convinced we need to wait 60 business days from June 17th now

So the "60 day" email is just to stop us calling so frequently since they are delayed. To have the DS-261 scanned on June 2nd and have no reply seems ridiculous. The only thing I can think is that the DS-261, AOS, IV, DS-260 and Checklists are all dealt with by different teams. I've spent so much time frustrated that people are getting docs approved before me, but I realize that people are getting DIFFERENT docs approved after me. The only true way I've had of estimating dates is to see what those in the exact same timeline as me are getting.

Hey everyone!

I will confess I am really embarrassed! We got super super super lucky! My case is closed and they are passing me onto the consulate in London however we still need to submit a new AOS document. Can some of you help me with this? We got the following:

Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

I know Saijin (I think is her username) has put this on the site:

Use the correct numbers on the I-864/I-864EZ for past year's incomes. As it states RIGHT IN THE QUESTION, if you filed a 1040 (or 1040A), then use total income, and if you filed a 1040EZ, then use adjusted gross income. If you filed jointly, then make sure you use the combined income (since it doesn't separate the incomes) and then submit W2s to show individual income.

Can somebody explain it in a bit more detail for me? So I can try and help my princess sort this out together. Tonight I celebrate so hard but tomorrow we have to look at this in detail, as I need this document right for my interview.

Many thanks

Daniel :)

P.S. Thank you everyone for being so supportive and helpful.

P.P.S. I will lie and say I was totally manly and stoic about getting this email.

Am I reading it right and you got a Case Complete? If so, no one else cottoned on it seems!! Checklist and Forward! I hope they'll do that to everyone from now on.

Congrats and poo on you for the too subtle and timid announcement.

I got exact same email from NVC after the day I was told my AOS was reviewed and accepted. Did you ask about the status of your AOS?

Thank God you explained the meaning of scanned to him.

Me and my husband, we are always thankful and greatful to Saylin for this thread and her wonderful contributions. My husband does not visit this site but I always tell him all the details about this forum and I also sent him a print out of Saylin's NVC wiki so he can read it every time. Thank you Saylin.

Hello sweet heart yes I did, he said it was under review still, I really think this guy is new hahaa just my luck and I really have an aversion to calling them.

I agree Saylin is the best without her and the people on this thread and Shannon I would be in this nightmare for ever. I can never thank then enough. (F) (L) (F)

Finally able to log into CEAC today! Filled out DS-261 and there's a box that says I can pay IV fee now, but when I click it it's all grayed out and I can't do anything. Is this normal?

Yup normal they should have a little popup that says "GOTCHA"

Hi dear, I think you should call again before this week ends, maybe the guy doesn't even know when a package has been reviewed and accepted since he doesn't even know what scanned means, maybe his among the new NVC recruits. My prayers are with you, you will hear good news this week by God's grace.

Yea I appreciate Saylin and everyone on this thread. This thread is really a blessing to us.

hi guys what does it mean by false cheklist.. i got a false cheklist for affidavtive of support..

is it a good sign for case complete or???

I think false checklist is a checklist that is not requesting for any specific document{I stand to be corrected}. You can copy and paste the checklist here so that others can help you determine if its a false checklist or real checklist.

Yea you are right, I really wish NVC can complete case files and then ask beneficiaries to come with the updated checklist for the interview. It will reduce their huge backlog. {Wishful thinking}

I got off the phone with the NVC about 40 minutes ago to find out what mistake I made in the AOS because I got a checklist. The guy told me that I left part 6 13.a and 13.a.1 blankkkkkkkk. I guess because I attached my transcripts I FORGOT TO WRITE the damn numbers of the total income down. I feel sooooooooooo frustrated that little mistake is causing a delay for me like seriously ughhh.

On another in part 6 where it says my current individual annual income thats supposed to be the number that your employer give you right?

For example according to my employer I make $40,000 a year but then my total income after taxes is $37,500?

So I write the $40,000 on that part.

Then I will write $37,500 for my 2013 tax adjusted gross income?

I can't remember what I put on the first AOS that I sent ugh lol.
