It was a false one :) They just reviewed a G28 form our attorney submitted on 6/19. All good! For now, at least :)

I did send them all these certificates. My IV package was scanned in on 6/30.

Ok that's good. I pray you get a CC soon.

2day i got this f... Email from nvc ????

01-AUG-14

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 23-JUN-14.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

I will wait 60 days agin this .......

Actually, if you think about it, what if all of the excessive phone calls are actually damaging their productivity? :o It's a Conspiracy Keanu thing going on in my mind now... I'm sure the people answering phones aren't the same that review it, right? However, if they are and they need to be on the phone for 17 hours of the day then there really is a problem, because I know when I call it's almost always a busy signal. I want an NVC person to do an 'IAMA' on Reddit ;o

Glad to see another redditor :). I don't think it will be a popular AMA though, we are a minority.

If you don't mind me asking, did you just hire an attorney now? Wouldn't having attorney and sending G28 before NOA2 have helped? I have heard cases with attorney get IV fee and AOS fee together.

Basicallllly, I don't need to enroll then? ;o I read it before I swear! I just have a bad memory, or maybe I never fully digested what I read because I wasn't there yet! Uhm, your guide says 10MB but the State.gov website says 5MB or below is best. Ugh, the excitement is sickening ;-;

Yes keep it below 5MB. I would suggest not doing EP though. Lot of people reporting bad experience.

When we got NOA 2 nearly 2 months ago I thought that we would likely have a September interview so we set our minds to me attending the interview. Now, it looks likely that an interview in December is barely possible. So, last night we decided that instead of attending the interview I'll just head on across in late September, early October for a visit. Ever since we decided that it's like a weight has been lifted. Just knowing when we get to be together is so great.

I really wanted to be there for the interview because I know it is stressful and I wanted to be there for her, even if I wasn't in the room. But, now I think that just getting to see each other is the priority.

Can anyone else share if they are planning on attending the interview or not?

Hey there, I was actually thinking of going to see my husband this month since NVC is taking forever to complete our case we've been in that stage since Feb 2014 and even if they do complete our case this month, they wont schedule us maybe till mid October which that will make 9 months that we haven't seen each other.... ughhhh we really don't know what to do at this point, because we are on a budget for when he gets here and we know were are going to spend a lot on flights if I go now. We shall see what next 2 weeks will bring us?

But mailing in original documents, and those getting lost, and even just anything getting lost in the mail, happens all the time too right? I don't there's a perfect way to go through the NVC right now. My husband and I are just sending everything in in good faith. We've been together for four years before we got married and did this crazy immigration stuff, what's another 4-5 months if the end result is going to be amazing? We'll just take our time to make our documents perfect and hope for the best!

Oh but, the NVC AMA is just what we need, we can make it popular enough! >:o

NVC is not working OT. If they were, the time frame would be getting shorter not longer. The Agents aren't exactly known for being honest, either.

Not necessarily...it is a simple input/output equation. If the input increases 100% (now 200%) and the output only increases 17% (one day) the pipe gets is still overflowing.

I just now got one of those "60 day wait" e-mails as well... but with an interesting twist. I had mailed in my husband's IV documents priority mail on July 1st, so they were delivered, as per USPS, on July 3rd. But when I called NVC, they told me that they weren't scanned in until the 9th. However, the e-mail I just got said that they were received on the 7th of July... maybe they felt they could be more generous with date given they were extending the wait time?

Rumor has it that NVC has been working on Saturdays. :wow:

Do I believe it since they're now saying it'll take 60 days to review documents? :no:

It used to take 2 weeks for them to review documents not a long time ago.

2 weeks -> 3 weeks -> 30 days -> 30 business days (45 days) -> 60 days -> What's next? 60 business days (90 days)? :bonk:

I was told that the 60 days is normal days, not business days.

Funny on Monday they told me August 26 is my 30 business days. Today after I got the email, they said my 60 day date is 14 September. I will be in Colombia from the 28th through the 14th so at least I will be with my wife during that time. I think it will fall in between those two dates.

We'll be in the same boat and needing her to travel to London twice as well. But, with what seems like 5 more months at NVC and 6 months since we've seen each other we decided that the best thing for us was to see each other ASAP, even if it means her not being able to come home for an extra month after the interview. Live in the moment strategy, ya know. In the end we know it'll all work out and we'll deal with the finances of getting over here when that day finally comes!!

Just got the 60 day email as well for my AOS package. I haven't even been invoiced for IV yet so I am wondering will that be 60 days for review once that package is submitted. ARGH! Husband is due to leave to go home in a couple days time. Here we were thinking ok it will be like the end of October before we will be together, now who knows?!

Yes indeed living the moment and also life is too short, you got me thinking now maybe I should go and see hubby now and then for interview, because my country is a high fraud country it's better if I attend. He'll just have to fly solo for when he gets his passport back, but that's cool I'll be waiting for him with open arms here and finally wake from this nightmare journey. Thanks for the reply ;)
