@N-o-l-a

Who whoa hold on there for a minute bro, who is talking "marriage" here. The kid from Bangladesh just wants a quality education and is willing to spend $32k/yr somehow by some means. I am merely advising him to get that quality education elsewhere if his American dream does not materialize.

Also, just because the native whites are uncomfortable with people of color, does not mean the brown plebs are going to stay put in their corner of the world and not expand their horizons. Let the racists think what they want. Global tech companies do not hire based on race, rather they rely on talent. In this global economy, country of origin is not too relevant anyway, people in India now make very good salaries in India, look at Satya Nadella, a brown boy from not so rich family, and from not so great universities leading Microsoft, the biggest tech giant.

Let the kid go where he can, race does not matter. If it makes Scandinavians uncomfortable to look at brown skin, it's their problem. Ooo the big bad brown boy daring to mingle with their pristine whiteness, scary!

FYI, I have many friends who did their PhDs in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland etc and some went for postdoctoral there after their PhDs and they are working there for many years, most of them have PR visas. They have never complained of racism there.

Dude, you gotta come up with some convincing sponsorship and explain to the CO why you think the university you chose is better than the education you can receive in Bangladesh. California is expensive tutionwise. Can't you find something cheaper in middle America?

Also, when they ask you about your initial visa refusal in your next F1 interview, do not lie, at all. Be totally honest and explain what happened. They are also going to ask you what do you plan to do after you finish your degree, and guess what " Staying back in America and finding a job" is the wrong answer.

I guess your tuition alone is not $32K, is it?

I think it is clear that you want to go to the US. To maximize your chance, either answer the questions I posed earlier or focus on sponsoring your self. The financial situation seems to be what the CO focused on so fix that.

good luck

The tuition is actually 18k$, but when added to other expenses like insurance and living costs the total comes around 32k$, but I had my living taken care of so their estimation of 9k$/yr was an overestimation.

I am not sure about why i was refused since all i got from the CO was a leaflet containing a few FAQs.So if they ask me about the rejection i'd not be able to clear the air.

I wake up every morning to that thought of rejection and feel useless, maybe i could have done/said something to the CO that could've changed the decision.I am unemployed so even if i somehow put some money in my account wouldn't the CO be suspicious? I am pretty sure he'll ask how that sum wind up in my account.If a bank account had a sudden large sum deposit i.e 30-40k$ in one day, would the CO be wary and not issue a visa?

Yes, since you already interviewed that you could not financially support yourself, having a large sum of money show up in your account is suspicious.

Good luck

Why on earth would your father's friend give you upwards of $100,000? You do understand that is a lot of money to give away, right?

I heard community colleges are far cheaper, so if i switch to a SEVIS-recognized community college and sponsor myself with whatever available funds, will it increase or decrease my chances?
