Why the spreadsheet is not updated?

I'm sorry I have a life. I don't sit at my computer 24/7 updating the spreadsheet as requests come in. Please gain a little patience.

I have a questions about Ds-260 ?

In previous us travel part

The question is

Have you ever been refused a us visa , been refused admission to the united states , or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entey ?

What can i do

I have been refused to get b1-b2 visa to visit my wife at the last christmas ? -Tourism visa-

-the officer at the embassy told me : if u want to see ur wife at the christmas and ur frist anniversary

She must came to me but i cann't go to her and i must wait for my cr1 visa to be issued -

And she actually came to visit me

And on 2012 i have get denail decision from uscis for k1 visa

i will answer this question by yes and write this or by no

Helpppp me becouse the ds 260 will staret 2day and i don't know what to do ?

If you were refused a visa, then answer yes and explain. Saying no can get you denied.

Just because lying is socially acceptable in Egypt (or in Kuwait for that matter) as long as one doesn't get caught or can sweet-talk oneself out of it, doesn't mean it's acceptable behavior everywhere else. It certainly is not in the US, at least the US I know. Never ever lie in your representations, not verbally and certainly not in writing. Even if by a miracle, the CO won't catch your lie and you get your visa, and by another miracle you pass through POE, it could come back and haunt you in your future dealings with the USCIS and easily result in immediate removal from the US (and from your wife and kids) with a multi-year bar to boot. Who needs that!

Thanks kenanna very helpful. Do they send an original via mail or is it fine if i print the email I received

It is your interview letter. It will have your spouse's name and address and it will say Interview Letter with (P4) in parentheses like so.

Hey guys so here's the dilemma I have. Interview is scheduled which is awesome but now I'm having trouble and don't know if I can go due to work. I know the appointment letter says it isn't required that I the petitioner go but I heard santo domingo is high fraud and it's highly preferred I go.

Then my sincere apologies for misunderstanding.

I'm afraid there are little guarantees against checklists. NVC staff don't follow their own rules at times. Witness checklists for civil documents with no translations when none are required, for example.

About the best thing you could do is write a cover letter that addresses any vagueness in your civil documents or DS-260 answers, and trust that it would be read by the concerned officer. For example, I served briefly in the US Army (long story), and yet I couldn't answer yes to the military service question since the mandatory country of service drop-down menu doesn't include USA. My only option was to answer NO there then explain the whole matter in the cover letter with appended US military records, all included in the IV packet.

This is why I always encourage VJers not to send their IV packets before they fill out their DS-260 forms. Hope that helps.

Hi baltoro,

Islamabad embassy permits the petitioner to accompany the beneficiary during interview. But it is not mentioned anywhere whether it is walk in by showing the proof of citizenship or it is required to make a prior appointment. If you come to know the procedure please share with me.

My spouse will send an email to embassy for this query. If we will get the response ,i will post here.

yeah as far as my knowledge is concerned it saves ur wife from AP.. my cozon was with his wife and he got approved on spot last month he was very happy and i expect my interview in sep too and he is forcing me and telling that invite ur wife so that she ( US citizen ) acompany u.. now i have plan to take my wife to interview wth me

You must always say the truth because they know about it anyway. They want to know if you will be truthful or not so put only the truth in the DS-260 and every other form. If there is a space to explain then explain it to them. I think you'll be just fine so don't worry. :)

You know I respect you very much but I disagree that it's acceptable in Egypt to lie. My husband would rather die than lie to anyone and he does not continue a friendship with those that do. I don't think he is an exception to the rule either.

I believe we are all human and there is no people from any country that accept lying and any other bad habit as socially acceptable. Koko is just scared and I do understand why and when your feeling like that you just can't think straight.
