For those that just got DS-261 checklists, here's my theory:

Your AOS packages were reviewed and accepted (call to confirm), so they issue false checklists for the IV track. Before this 30-day fiasco for IV bills taking so long to invoice, most people received false checklists for the DS-260/IV package when their AOS packages are reviewed. But since there's such a bigger gap now between the two tracks, when NVC gets to the AOS package, you're still waiting on the IV bill to be invoiced. So, they don't checklist you for the DS-260/IV package, but rather the DS-261, since that's the latest IV step for you.

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for that response!!!! you are so wonderful

I got the checklist for the ds261 as well last week...called and said it was already completed and they said it was just a reminder to complete it...doesn't make sense but hey ho ....what does in this organization? Still no IV invoice due to resetting my DS261 from May 9 the to May 28th! Hopefully by Monday I will be able to pay!

Will the next 30 day wait period start when you pay the IV invoice or when they received the civil documents?

Thanks for letting us know... Still no IV invoice for me either.. boo! but mine should come right after yours...cause they reset mine from May 20 to June 2nd coz of the stupid resubmit thingy...

hopefully we will be able to pay this week...

for 30 days I believe after they receive it....

That's the best theory I've heard and it makes sense with how they operate. I'll let you all know what the answer is once I get through to someone.

Here's a joke for everyone... How long does it take for the NVC to check your docs, or do a supervisor review? I'm sure you all heard the answer before...!

I'm going to have to ask Saylin about that cause I'm not really sure. :D:pop:  :bonk: :P

Fffs it feels like the rest of my life. 30 business days.. They couldn't even give us an answer on when the checklist (which was in their error) would be removed.. The agent, nor the supervisor.. WTH!

Monkeys could do a better job than this.

The Monkey would do way better and speed up the process, I say we petition they hire Monkeys. :D

Saylin, the representative I spoke to at NVC just confirmed that your theory is exactly what happened. Hope this sets everyone else who received a checklist's mind at ease.
