YAHOOOOOOO Get on that phone a few minutes before 7am EST MONDAY MORNING to be the first caller !! The AOS fee went to N/A for me when I got my Case Complete AND it went back to PAID when the satus chaned to "in Transit" !! So I definitely think that is a sign that something changed with your case. Waiting until Monday will be hard but enjoy your weekend and get ready for GOOD News ! !!!

For those of you watching the N/A on the portal, just like LoveMyTico, mine changed back to Paid as well after it was shipped to embassy. So possibly a sign!!

Can anyone tell me that is employment letter optional or necessary with the AOS packet?

I sent the AOS packet with last 6 months of paystub but no employment letter.

Dont wanna spend 30 days more for the REF...

It's not required. We did not send one and our AOS was fine.

FYI you do not get RFE's at the NVC. You get things called checklists where they tell you exactly what to fix. The NVC doesn't not approve or disapprove of anything, simply checks for completeness so that the Consular Officer can do their job at the interview.

I was reading information about overseas expedite on this forum back in December. I contacted Nancy Peloci (since we lived in San Francisco) and her office contacted USCIS trying to expedite our application because we were applying from overseas. USCIS denied our request since they were backlogged and were only expediting for medical reasons at that time. I thought Nancy Peloci was the most powerful woman in America? I should have contacted Michelle Obama instead. LOL!

DS-261 form! It sucks that it cost you two weeks! I'm not even checking https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ until I receive an email from NVC asking me to pay the IV fee. I'm afraid of accidentally clicking the DS-261 link and re-submitting the form!

I think it is better to check it because it may become incomplete by itself (mine did and when I called they told me it is the system problem and I had to completed again but they will consider the old date)

Hello, I recently had my I-130 approved and I was gathering my documents and preparing for the next step. And I was looking into DS-260 and what I will have to do and had a few things I wanted to clarify.

Above is the sample:

1) Page 3: Application Information; In this case who would the applicant be the Beneficiary (my wife who I'm applying for)?

2) Page 6-46 (Tabs Personal to Work/Education); will all that also be Beneficiary information (my wife who I'm applying for)?

3) Page 47 (Tab Petitioner); what would be mines?

4) Rest about security is that for me or wife?

I might sound dumb asking but I want to make sure I got it correct the first time around; as being an insurance agent I make sure I have what I need properly.

The forms that begin with DS are essentially the beneficiary's forms, so look at it from the Immigrant's point of view.

On ds261 the first page the surname is for the beneficry or for the agent

I sent an e-mail to the Egyptian Embassy to have them check on a document their response to me what that NVC is the one who decides. Someone isn't telling the truth but who might that be? I have no clue.

Yes I've done it many times so far and there has been no problem just to print it out I had to make the it bigger by clicking on the right side on the edge and make it bigger then I could see where it has the icon for print. You can go back as many times as you want.

#2 Thank you for taking a photo of the envelope, I was very curious as to what that looks like!!

The envelope is huge. In the packet you have your Visa with instructions on paying the $165 green card fee.

You have to add a zero in front of the number printed on your passport for your Alien number in the Elis system.

Wonderfully you have two options for payment. Checking and Credit Card with the paygov system.

You also have The infamous Please Do Not Open Envelope with many things inside.

There is also info about Social Security.
