Just got off the phone with NVC. Only had to wait 4 minutes. Cynthia (nice Spanish operator) told me our IV package was approved today! Good to know that they're actually working on something this week <_<

Now we have to wait for them to check the checlist answer they got on May 28th. We could have had CC if it wasn't for that checklist

today i'm pissed!!!

what the F is going on???

i know nothing, no idea if i will ... anytime soon!!!

my husband is leaving and i don't know when am i going to see him again.

i can't make any plans.

i don't know what to tell my boss. summer time is coming and coworkers will be taking days off. i'm the one who takes all the responsibilities when my boss is gone. i can't make any plans so she can't make any plans too.

What a bs >.<

I hate this step of the process.

I'm feeling like this, too! I feel like I'm in limbo. I can't quit my job. I can't buy plane tickets. I can't start to sell any of our stuff. Just waiting and waiting.

YEP to both of you! My life is on hold and it's making me miserable :-(

I wish the Agents were more helpful in telling all of the range of dates they're currently working on, it would give us an idea of whether it's worth wasting our minutes to call. I'm gonna call and try my darndest to get some sort of valuable information from them.

I can't wait to put this nightmare behind me.

I just want to book my flight... my mom keeps asking me when I'm going. She has to re-arrange her schedule to keep an eye on my kids !

Everyone is waiting to make their summer plans because they don't know what I am doing..... We are all in the same boat.

agree with u, but unfortunately u will not get any contact on higher management, they r covered pretty good so the only way u can act is by waiting... sorry :/

just this morning on the news they are talking about 1,000 illegal immigrants from Mexico that they are transporting to Arizona and setting them up with food, money and clothing, and they sneak across the border! I dont know what this country is coming to its very upsetting that there is no help for good people who are really trying because they give everything away to the dishonest!

Yes, they put all resources to make illegal immigrants to legal. However, they couldn't do any thing to speed up process to bring spouses of citizens who pay taxes on time. I understand that they can't simply ignore some checks but they shouldn't prolong the process which used to take 5 months to now 12 months and more. May be should write a letter to President explaining the situation. He is one of the reasons why this process got delayed significantly since October 2013.

yes, yes and more yes! My wife and 2 month old daughter are waiting to come home. Because my daughter is a U.S. citizen she could come right now, but we have no one to take care of her. So I'm waiting for them. Every day is an extreme struggle because I don't really get to see them that much because of the time difference and I feel like my daughter is growing up without me and that I'm missing all the happiness and joy of the baby stage. I'm starting to get slightly depressed because of all of this and feel like I'm living someone else's life and that I have no purpose without them. I honestly think the NVC part is way more infuriating than the USCIS part. Seems like people are really getting t'd off with the NVC lately. I just don't get what they're doing.....

I still feel the same as all of you, believe it or not :( Interview and approval were 3 weeks ago, but my husband is still 3 weeks away from arriving in the US. He's busier than ever as he takes care of things to move and spends time with friends and family, and I'm alone miserably treading water every day. I just want to get on with my life, and logically I know it's coming soon, but emotionally it's still a daily beating. I kept thinking as we got closer to the finish line that I'd start feeling good, but that hasn't really been the case. Feeling good won't come until the distance is over once and for all. And I know, I'm lucky the actual visa process is done (and grateful for it), and I should probably keep my mouth shut in the NVC crowd when you all are still suffering through different battles... there's just nowhere else to turn with this stuff, no one understands the daily pain of being away from a spouse like the people here. I wish the suffering could be over for all of us.

TL;DR: Still hate the visa process.

Well, after 45 minutes on hold, I ended up hanging up with the NVC agent because he was such a jerk. First of all, he wouldn't hold on for more than 1 minute because my baby was crying and I wanted to grab her before reading him the USCIS case number.

He talked to me like I was an idiot then asked me the date I received the NOA2. When I said, May 27th, he told me that I need to read him word for word all of the information on the NOA2 (aka he wanted me to get to the part where it says, "wait 30 days before contacting NVC"). I ended up just hanging up. Grrrr :ranting:

I'm sorry you got Arthur :-( (I would bet my house that's who that was).

There's absolutely no reason for this. This process is stressful enough without having to deal with these operators' attitude. It's not like we're calling them at home, it's their OCCUPATION to answer the phone!
