I just got off the phone with Jenny at NVC. I have to say that she is one of the nicest operators I have talked to there.

Some good news, my IV documents were reviewed and accepted on April 28. Unfortunately I received a checklist for my AOS documents. My reply to the checklist was scanned in on May 6. I asked good ole Jenny if she had any estimate of when my AOS would be reviewed and she said "They are currently working on May 6 and some stragglers from May 5. You should call back after 9:30pm. You might have case complete tonight."

She also gave me the standard 30 business days spew.

OMG. everyone who has a date up to May 6th needs to get on the phone tonight.

I'll tell you if you promise not to laugh at me.

I've been using the nickname "etrangais" since 2000 when I first came to the USA.

I misspelled the word "etranger" which is French for 'alien" as USCIS describes immigrants.

I liked the way it sounded so I decided not to correct it, and here we are 14 years later: "etrangais"

Can't you see the big "L" on my forehead... My big Friday night is going to consist of chatting with my honey from 9-10 and then sitting on hold with the NVC to get my "last chance" call in before the weekend. UGHHHHH What will life be like when he is finally here? What will I do without a call to him every night and calling the NVC???? GOOD LORD....

I still have the waiver to wait out and that will super suck because that goes to Satan's house at the NSC. At the mercy of the USCIS yet again. Shoot me now !!!!! I guess I should be thankful that the NVC at least provides a number where I can get status updates. NSC provides NOTHING

I would say buy another computer you have yours in the bedroom and your husbands in the living room and then you can Skype :D:yes:

we don't even Skype now. He doesn't have internet in his house. And We tried Skype and OOVOO on his cell and it just cuts out. We spend more time trying to connect. We just send pictures over Whatsapp

I can only stay about 10 days when his interview is scheduled. Then back to the grind to file the waiver and wait another 6-8 months. I am not sure if I will be able to afford another flight in between. . My house needs a few repairs and they aren't minor ones. The roof is leaking and I need to find someone to patch it who won't charge my first born child and I really need a new heater.. I don't even want to think about that cost. and there are a few other things. It sure would be nice to have him here to help me rather than hiring someone or sitting here and hoping it doesn't get worse til he gets here. :cry:

You will have to call them to find out. It usually takes anywhere from a few business days to about 3 weeks, more or less. :)

I really encourage you to read the NVC Wiki that is located in the first post of this forum. It will give you lots of knowledge about the rest of this process, including the answer to this question.

Thanks a lot..

I called them regarding my AOS package they received today .Now how much I have to wait to complete review and accept it ?

Now that really is the million dollar question, isn't it? I'm waiting to know that one too, but keep an eye on my timeline as I update it the minute I find out anything, mine was received 3 days before you, so that should give you a good indication.
