No case number yet :(

Lady told me they're still putting it in the system since April 15! I don't know what kind of stupid system they have that it takes a month to put in some papers. I can do that an hour.

I wonder if these representatives have personally went through the immigration process or someone they know, they definitely would have a different perspective...I hope

I am in the same baot and I also called today and they replied me same....

I've been through a lot of stress in my life, but immigration stress and headache are a different story. You know, what's so scary to me is going through all of this and at the end knowing that you can be denied. I know it's rarely, but the thought just scares me. Too much power.

Omg im so happyy just recieved my case number and invoice via email from the nvc.????

1 month and 1 week after Approval notice

Horrayyyy!!

I'm so glad you posted! Mine is showing Paid now too hurray!

and to think I wasn't going to check it until later tonight because it was making me too depressed to log in and see in process every day.

Now to start my DS-260 :)

Finally!! Great news for you and dirk :dance:

So i just filled out ds-261 and paid aos fee.it says itll take 3-6 days for the iv fee to be available.do i start preparing the aos papers or will it let me know when to send it or what to download and fill out?

You should/could already have all of that information ready to go!!

Don't wait as it will delay sending things in as soon as it's appropriate. Read Saylin's wiki again found in the first post of this thread.

You will download the I864 form and find instructions on the USCIS website: http://www.uscis.gov/i-864

Hi everyone!

I have one very important question!

My hubby who is US Citizen have my Criminal Records, I sent to him, 6 months ago! Are they to old to be sent to NVC? How current they could be!

I`m from Macedonia!

I for one am a little unclear on a few things, which might help others to guide you.

It says you're filing DCF on your sidebar, and your timeline indicates you are still awaiting NOA2.. are these correct?

If you're filing DCF, I don't think the NVC is involved, it's your country's consulate that handles the papers.

If you didn't file DCF, and you are still awaiting your NOA2, it will be awhile before your case is ready and I'm not so sure your records will still be valid.

Consider asking your question in the Regional Forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/100-regional-discussion/

Or hopefully someone here can provide more information to you.

Would you make sure your timeline and sidebar information are correct/updated please :)

this is the checklis that we got,

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Item 13.a. You must include your 2013 tax and income information. Be sure to send 2013 tax transcripts or the entire 2013 return including all schedules and forms on your revised AOS.

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead. Use the numbers this statement identifies depending on what form you used with taxes.

[x]

In Part 8, Sponsor's Contract, please correct the following...

[x]

The Form I-864 we received was missing the following page(s). Please ensure you include all nine pages when you

resubmit the form. You must not have included all 9 pages of the form, which you must do this time.

[x]

You must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] Proof of current employment (examples: a recently dated job letter, pay stub, or a copy of your business license). As cangirl said, you should be able to get proof of current employment. You said you 'can't' get a letter, but what about pay stub copies or other proofs?

[x] A written statement indicating why you did not file 2013 Federal income tax returns. Did you use 2013 as the most recent year on the AOS? Or did you claim that you didn't file taxes for 2013- in which case you need to write a letter explaining why it wasn't required, or proof that you have applied for an extension on your filing date. ahh, which is states in the next point below:

[x] 2013 Federal income tax returns, IRS printout, or Letter 1722 issued by the IRS. As above.

[x] Proof of ownership and value of the following assets:

• [x] Savings/checking accounts [ ] Real Estate [ ] Stocks, bonds, Certificates of Deposit, and other Did you claim assets in part 7 but not provide proof of those assets?

That's a pretty substantial list...

See what I've added in red. Hopefully others can support my statements or have information that is more helpful to you!

Next steps:

Hey, I just learned something new today. When you get checklists, they come from the NVC Attorney's mailbox. Did you know your attorney has the ability to email them back and ask questions? I don't think we peons can do it, but apparently the attorneys can!

I put together the checklist response package (barcode cover, original letter, my explanation of why we cannot get a Victoria PCC, plus screen shots of the website that clearly states we cannot get a Victoria PCC), and wrote to my attorney about the sitch, telling her I was going to ask for a Supervisory Review and asking her if she had any other strings to pull. She must have taken a late lunch, because when I didn't hear back from her by 2:30, I packed up my checklist response packet and went to the Post Office for next-day delivery. When I got back, I had an email from her asking me to hold off on doing anything (uh-oh - I hope she doesn't read VisaJourney!), and she would write to the NVC Attorney.

Since it is taking them so long to review documents, I'm hoping she'll be able to get it all cleared up by the time someone scans in my packet!

I haven't been breathing since last Friday night when they told me I was going to get a checklist. Not sure I'm breathing now.

I know that reviewers cannot know every single thing about every single country, but it really would be nice if they would listen to us every once in a while.

That sounds like good news to me!

Our first joint sponsor also bailed on us, so I understand :(

We were lucky to find another one soon who sent his documents the day after, very nice of him :)

He actually made a nice amount last year (175k according to his transcripts), but it concerns me a bit that he left that job on february in order to start his own company...

So he is not currently employed because he just registered the new company... And he told us that his expected income will be 50k this year.....

Therefore, we don't have any current paystubs or employment letter, only transcripts...

Any of you guys thinks that this will be a problem?

We are also including our assets in the petitioner's i-864 but they are all on foreign currency (which is not so easy to transfer to US dollars in our country)... That's why we decided to include a joint sponsor. But we thought that it wouldn't hurt to also include assets...

I'm glad you found another one soon as well! Hope it works out for you guys :) I just feel super-betrayed, but maybe I'll get over it eventually. I'm not the forgiving type unfortunately :( Live and learn I guess.

IR1 took 520 days....

In tht case, why are they not replying to my email :,( ive sent them the same email thrice :( aaaaaaaa

And the only way to change your consulate is via email GOD! They wont even tel me what date theyre on

Yes, it takes a long time, it seems, to get an actual response, but I'd suggest that you keep sending it until you at least get an "Out of Office" auto-reply... at least then you know it got through. I've noticed that people sometimes don't get any response at all, if they didn't get that auto-reply first.

yes, this morning i checked and it finally show paid :)

Woot! Good for you!

Got my case complete email today. I want the interview date now, NVC!!

It takes roughly a month for them to reply.

Come on, interview date, and congrats on the case complete! :clock:

hi guyz,

My wife sent AOS package one month agao and we received an email from NVC regarding missing documents like "submit tax returns of 2013 and my wife job letter", Now she got her 2013 tax returns but she has not job letter and her compnay does not issue any kind of job letter , she is working as cashier, so what she do to manage the job letter from where she can fulfill this requirement we both are very tensed please advice as your ealrliest. We need the visajourney members help.

thanx

usman ali

Well, send in the 2013 transcripts, and have your wife write a letter herself, mentioning the company, her position and salary. Include some paystubs (or printed pay statements if she gets direct deposit) as evidence of her current income.

They're just wanting proof that her income is still sufficient, so anything you can submit that proves that should be sufficient.

Is your timeline updated?

I just got off the phone with my friend JOY!!!!!!!!

Nothing new, none of my packages have been reviewed yet! What the hell is going on with NVC lately!!!!!!!!!!!

She told me they are working on April 7th mail! yesterday I was told April 16, I guess everything goes backwards in NVC nowadays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, good ol' Joy... I haven't had the pleasure of speaking with her yet... and since I usually call in the evening, maybe I won't *crossing fingers*!

I begin to suspect that they just pick a number at random!

Is your timeline updated?

I lovelovelove all the love stories here btw! (L) I haven't exactly been the happiest girl in the world lately due to the joint sponsor shock, but reading all the remarkable and special stories is just amazing. Thank you everyone for sharing! We are "boring" college sweethearts, but some of the stories are so unique too, could be made into movies if you ask me

IR1 took 520 days....

It's at the interview where the CO goes over everything and decides to issue the visa or not. And even if it is approved, it's still ultimately up to the border officer at POE to let you in. They can always still deny you if they wish. It's extremely rare; I've only ever seen one case here on VJ in the nearly 4 years I've been here.

Got denied at POE!? :wow: Do you know why this person was denied at POE? :crying: I'm just curious.
